Magnaflow Cat-back Exhaust for the R-Spec

fabricated by myself i work at a scrap yard, so every other month an old intake tube comes in , all i did was cut it to the length i wanted , bought a couple of couplers , and the k/n cone filter and that was it, pretty simple man.

It's already been stated, but I just called Hottexhaust today and unit 15059's next production run is underway (there were only 12 units available during the first one, per HE) and will be shipping factory direct towards the end of next week.

I go on vacation after next week so I'll have to wait a bit to see if it fits the v6. Was looking forward to getting it put on before I left...

Yea I don't think Magnaflow anticipated this type of demand for the genesis sedan. Haha if only they read the forums, they probably would have made 50 of them in the first run...

+1... the positive reviews on this forum should make them feel really good... hell sold me on it and i swore never to get another cat back after the Injen.

maybe AEM or another vendor will start fabricating performance parts for our cars.

just fyi... when Shiv came out with his box (cryptic i know) it was around $800 or so... and when terry came out with the juice box for $99... showed a nice amount of demand... start low work your way up... $350 way to much (sorry)

Was able to finish up the install tonight. Wow. Sweet V8 growl. They say it gets better as it breaks in. I'm pretty happy with it right now. Little bit of drone but nothing that bothers me. Might do the cat deletes but we'll see. Here's a quick sound clip.

Sounds awesome! Cat deletes are a pretty minor mod - you do get a bit more grumble at idle and a bit deeper exhaust tone IMO. I think they dynoed the HP gain at 6hp for adding cat deletes.

Sounds great! I wish they offered this system (with resonators) for a 2011 4.6.

+1 My appointment is a week from this Saturday, so I'm looking to see what my exhaust guy is capable of. I was a bit sad when I returned the VT mufflers, but I was told to do so, and I trust his judgement. This guy understands where drone comes from, how frequencies can cancel sounds out, and how to apply this to cars. basically, using the Magnaflow mufflers that I already have on my car, but tweating other points of the exhaust. I can't wait!

I was very happy with the new Magnaflow exhaust and very happy to be done squeezing under the car. However the cat deletes sounded interesting so I ordered them. A real pain in the azz to get under there and pull off the cats but clearly worth the move. Thanks for the suggestion. The car is way more aggressive with the wheels chirping at the slightest touch. I took my wife for a quick ride after I put them on. She called me an "idiot" which confirmed I did the right thing. Lol
