Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Sounds like you were able to negotiate a discount. Can you elaborate on how you managed this? I haven't found a dealer yet willing to budge on price.
For context, this was in Southern California at Norm Reeves Genesis (#3 dealer in the US). They don't sell cars above MSRP which was a great starting point, and they have a good amount of inventory that sells pretty quickly. I started negotiating at $48k (MSRP w/o tax) and eventually they landed at $50k. I was there for 5 hours and made it clear I would leave if we couldn't get to a reasonable price. Before I bought the car there, I did a test drive at a smaller dealer with only 2 2022 models on the lot and they had every car marked up $10k, so I would recommend trying to find a larger Genesis dealership. Dealers with more inventory want to sell the cars quickly so they can keep ordering more from Genesis.

So who's actually bought one? If you arw willing to share, wed probably love to hear your purchase details or lease terms.
I'll chime in as I just made my 1st payment- (dollar amounts are in USD) I was going to get a 2021 Accord 2.0t ($34,500) and then came across my actual purchase, 2020 G70 2.0t RWD --- Purchased with 1,175 miles- Havana Red- $31,590 - This was an absolute steal as no other G70 was comparable in price- I made the purchase within 12 hours (after watching some Youtube videos and doing some research; impressed) For all other owners, please be happy for me haha I wouldn't have gone over that $35k mark so I wasn't even considering Genesis as an option.
In regards to details, I mean that depends on credit scores and who you finance with, etc. I was going to refinance with Chase for a better rate but I guess they're not doing auto refi since Covid came into play. So will be looking to refi elsewhere to get my actual rate of around 3.75-4%.
Cheers,

My experience with the Genesis Concierge service and subsequent dealership experience was all over the place. I tried finding a 2022 3.3T AWD sport prestige (wanted Havana red, Uyuni white, or silver) over the place. After reaching back out to the concierge service and complaining that the dealership outreach was severely lacking, i was put in touch with a dealer in Colorado Springs. They offered me the car at MSRP (in Uyuni white) and I was able to claim it before it arrived to the dealership. After hearing what others have been paying and seeing that the dealer had no other 2022 g70s left on the lot when I came to pick up mine, I am quite satisfied with MSRP. Pictures attached😬

Posted this on a stand alone thread probably better here as a new user.
I bought a 2022 pearl white Genesis G70 3.3t with dune peanut butter and black interior. Did the standard and got $4K in rebates bringing sales price to about $4. When you look at sticker of these dealers are adding 2K or more in a door guard and lo jack system you can negotiate. At this price at BMW all I could get is a basic 2 series V4 executive demo and that would be $41500 with 8k miles.

For some reason Genesis went up on the 2.0 $1500 and down on the 3.3T $4000 on MSRP nationally. This has created a situation where the V6 standard is the same price as a 2.0 prestige. Or maybe even less. But the crazy part is a V6 3.3t standard has more features than the 2.0 standard. So it has the same 19” wheels as the G70 Prestige package 2.0 as an example. And has concierge seat. And you could never get a peanut butter two tone of this level on a base car at BMW. You would need to be in the $80k range and they would charge a $4K premium for the color interior.

The game it appears is BMW and others have been able to up sell 2.0 V4 cars to $48k or more. Now Genesis is bringing a luxury V6 to a lower price point. I shopped a lot the sweet spot in the Genesis market is a G70 3.3t standard V6.

People are literally paying $12k more at $54k for nearly the same car for the 3.3t prestige package. And in some cases even over msrp for colors like Siberian ice which is a no no.

Also don’t buy cars that aren’t physically at the store you’ll never get a discount. Mine was there at least a week. Changes the entire negotiation. They tried to sell me a car that way and I said no what about this one I’ve seen on your site sitting here 2 weeks I’ll take it off your hands for this price.

Note: Dealer took a 2019 Gran Coupe 430 Xdrive lease off my hands. Trade in value they gave was 31k and pay off was $29k. Carmax had offered the same $31k. Check your trade in value with Carmax before going in the dealer. Also be open to visiting mutiple Genesis the first one I went to only offered me $29k on the trade in value. Also have your dealer pay off printed out many brands like BMW require you to call them now since Carvana and Carmax came out. The payout online isn’t the dealer payout. BMW sent me mine and I had it printed in hand. You don’t want to have a deal at 7pm at a dealer and can’t agree because you don’t have a payoff form for your trade in and the company you bought from like BMW Finance was mine is closed until the next day.

Note: Clarifying price sticker was $44500 Dealer add ons that all of the Genesis dealers I visited seem to have of a door guard and LoJack took it out to $46,500. Discount of $4,500 made it about $42k.

Started to make some mods. First was debadging the “genesis” name on the trunk… so dirt and grime won’t get stuck on the letters View attachment 37850
I’ve done this on my BMW was thinking of doing it won’t now looks much too bland. You should get a small carbon fiber Genesis logo and put it in the center.

On the 2022 G70 make sure to comparison shop dealers are price pumping. I went to one dealer in CA and they are adding $3500 in odd charges to mark up the car. Then at another they only add $1100 for the same items. In addition the second one offered 2k more for my trade in BMW. Literally there was a 6k swing on similar priced vehicles between dealers once you factored in the cheaper dealer had a $4K discount and the first was at $2k. Some of you may have to travel
out of state as that you only have a few dealers and they only get a few cars. And some of these smaller dealers literally dont have a dedicated Genesis side. They are truly Hyundai dealers adding Genisis to their Hyundai line up. So you get this different up sale car buying experience than I got at BMW over the years. The cheaper dealer was much better and closer to BMW. The Genesis side was seperated and had fair pricing.

Paid 49K for a 2020 G70 3.3T Sport HTRAC at the beginning of Pandemic Summer last year.

Anybody know what the lease values are (mf, residual) for a 2022 rwd 3.3t sport prestig?

So looked at my deal closer MF .00165 asked finance manager. 3 years 36 months 15k 3.3T standard MSRP 44k plus 2K in dealer add ons. Total 46k Discount 4K. Sales price $42K 2600 drive off & payment 475 plus tax a month.
So MSRP of 44k residual about .64

Note: It seems this dune interior is a rare color and they didn’t make many standard 3.3T generally. I really like how the full top is white now instead of black. They didn’t need that much black glass across the top for a small moon roof. Now it it really opened like the full half the car that would have made it make sense.

That's an Awesome price. Makes me feel like I should have shopped alittle farther for a 21/22 but those same options would reach closer to 50k might pass the 50k mark. Chicago area

Just paid $50k (about a $1500 discount off MSRP) for Siberian Ice / Black & Grey 2022 3.3 RWD Sport Prestige in Florida. Should be picking the car up tomorrow.
Which dealer? I'm in FL (Central East Coast)and went to 3 dealers yesterday. Aside from the $900 dealer fee they all wanted at least another $1900 for not removable add-ons. One dealer was as high as $10k over sticker (not including tax) when he walked out of the "Managers Office". I couldn't leave fast enough. This is a straight purchase no trade.

Here's one of the dealers website that bravely shows the "Market Adjustment" for all to see.

Market adjustment?!? I mean, these are nice cars, but they are definitely not THAT popular. Anyway- talk to Jason Prater at Genesis of Naples. Tell him Scott Kinnebrew sent you. They have quite a few G70s and they really did me right. I definitely got a little help from it being the end of the month- so keep that in mind. But, I was very happy with Jason and my entire experience at Genesis of Naples. I've bought a LOT of cars in my life and they were close to the top in terms of honesty, service, and respect for my time. Let me know if you have more specific questions.

I spoke to Naples Genesis yesterday about a Launch Edition they have in stock. Every car on the lot has an $1895 paint protection package that is already on it.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Spoke to 3 dealers here in SoFLA to quote me on a lease. $0 down, 36 months, 10K miles a year. The three offers were $717, $760, and $699.

G70 3.3 Sport Prestige RWD

Anyone else get these kind of lease numbers? Anything better in the SoFLA area anywhere from Tampa to Orlando to Fort Myers to Miami/FTL?

Saw $727 this morning on a RWD Prestige/10K/yr. The residual was only 66%

Update: This morning I told the dealer the pricing I showed in post #1973 above was not acceptable to me so they came back with $2000 over sticker plus a $999 dealer fee. Basically a $1 savings.

I said nice try but I'm a buyer at $2000 under the $52,450 MSRP today and left the dealer. 10 minutes later I get a call from the sales guy saying they can do that deal and asking when I can come back. I said later in the evening after work.

At 2:30PM I get a text from the Salesperson asking if we can move forward. I responded at 3:30PM with "Yes at $2000 under MSRP on the window sticker which would be $50,450." I then attached a photo of the window sticker with the MSRP and VIN so there was no confusion.

At 5:23PM I head for the dealer thinking I'm driving home in my new G70.

At 6:05 PM the salesperson looks at me and says they can't do the deal because $50,450 is invoice and wants to start negotiating all over again. I got in my car and left because they've wasted enough of my time already.

This was Melbourne Genesis but Cocoa Genesis was even worse because they started out at $10K over sticker. I'd really like to buy one of these cars but the reindeer games these dealers want to play is exhausting.

Great work at holding your ground. 👏

$2000 off MSRP is not actual invoice. Too many people here have gotten at least that amount off and dealers don’t lose money on sales. I used circle A pricing along with some other discounts and finance discounts at the time of my purchase for $6500 off MSRP. Good for you holding your ground with the dealer.
