  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

You should be able to get any dealer who gives you a good deal to get any local dealer to trade inventory, I ended up getting mine from Sterling McCall. they actually got the car from Ron Carter (which adds like 2k of options) so I ended up getting the protective coating interior and exterior and tinting and pin stripe free. I also was dealing with North Freeway and Hub Hyundai, was going to deal with North Freeway but they were not responsive to my email or phone call inquiries, I do expect good customer service prior to handing someone @50k.

That's awesome you were able to get a trade from Ron Carter with the extras free. I am also working with Sterling McCall to do the same. However, the closest car is Louisiana. (they will go pick it up) I wanted a car from a state that does not require a front plate, so I can have the plate holder installed upside down. (to be positioned lower on the grill) The few white/beige 5.0's in Texas already have the holes drilled. So I will talk to Sterling tomorrow to make a game plan. ;)

Hi, I purchased a burgundy/grey 3.8 RWD Ultimate pkg 10 days ago from a dealer in NC. Out the door price was $47,656. I was not eligible for any rebate or promotion. Only first aid kit and wheel locks were included as accessories. It was not a bad deal, I think. I am really satisfied with the car.:welcome:

Nice to see the 2015 Genesis come out. I'm sure is why I was just able to pick up a brand new 2013 3.8 Genesis for $24,500 from my local dealer. 75 miles on the odometer. Fingers crossed it is reliable! Both cars look beautiful to me. AWD would have been nice, but I wasn't willing to pay 2x for it.

I was going to wait till the end of the year to get my Genesis, but it just so happened that this rare (actually the only only one like this in at least 200 mile radius) color/package combo suddenly appeared at my local dealership and I didn't want to risk losing it.
Dealership even game me one day demo test run in this car to help me figure out if I really like this car (like it was really necessary ;)) I'm very satisfied how it turned out, the color is beautiful and the car looks simply amazing.
Coming from 2006 Sonata it's quite an upgrade.
So here I go, a new 3.8 RWD Pamplona Red w/ Tech package owner (Wheel locks, Mud guards). Paid $40,225 before T&TL and total $42,570 OTD.

If there are Genesis owners in the Seattle-Bellevue area, or the surrounding Puget Sound area, I would be very curious to know what you paid for your Genesis.

I'm planning to purchase the 3.8 Ultimate in Empire State Grey or Persian Grey and received the following quote below. I'm still undecided between the RWD and the AWD. We do occasionally get snow, but it typically lasts only a few days. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on that as well.

3.8 Ultimate RWD - $46,624; Out-the-door - $51,756
3.8 Ultimate AWD - $48,738; Out-the-door - $53,954

:welcome:

Supply seems to be increasing and prices relaxing. Still trying to decide between the tech and ultimate packages ...

Ultimate all the way :D

+1 on the Ultimate! At this price point, the extra you'll pay for the Ultimate package will be well worth it!

There are a lot of things that make the extra packages very appealing. To keep this in perspective I’d like to say while the Ultimate package is costly it does bring to bear some very useful options. We all already know what they are so I’ll limit this to the HUD. My wife and I have really become so grateful for this ability to convey so much useful information without taking your eyes off the road. I know there are other cars that do this also but the implementation of this feature in the Genesis is just simply amazing. I am very concerned with driver distractions as is my wife because in the past we’ve had very good features in our cars but they came at a cost. That was distraction to some degree. While there is of course some distraction associated with the HUD I must say it is the best assistance so far with the minimum of distraction. If anything it inspires a growing dependency which is apparent when I drive my other car. I get a premature feeling of not being well connected which of course goes away after a little time. The usefulness of the this feature in my opinion cannot be overstated.

sorry for my confusing description, I meant that I had the rear wing emblem installed. :(

but I am thinking of getting the rear roof spoiler shipped out from Korea. My cousin also has a Genesis in Korea, and has an aftermarket one that seems pretty nice.

Hi,

We have two nice roof spoilers that you might interested.

It is called extreme spoiler.

PM me if you are interested.
