If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

Wouldn't that make him fee older? We are Samsung here only. I was over the iphone in 08. The part number for the USB port has NOT changed according to my parts dealer and is readily available. My cost was $100.75. This is for those with hardware connection issues.

On a separate note I did have my shifter start glitching a couple days ago. I took it out and thoroughly cleaned it and looked for the hi chew wrapper I THOUGHT i had dropped in there a while back. Well there was no wrapper. It was the ribbon that connects the shifter to the base. It was rubbing on the shifter every time I started and stopped the car. Eventually the connections started to fail. I had it repaired locally at a computer repair place and he did a marvelous job. All 30 pins were extended and they protected it and taped it down to avoid any further contact. If you ever hear crumpling wrapper sounds make sure to remove (it's one screw and the entire panel pops off with 3 harnesses to unclip). CAREFULLY tape the ribbon down so as to avoid having same issue I did and reassemble
Great to know, as this is a point of failure that I'd rather not experience.
Any images of the work...?

Since I took my GV60 into the dealer to have the powertrain recall addressed, I have had to re-pair my Google Pixel 7 Pro to the car four different times. My wife's iPhone remains paired. Is anyone else having an issue lately with Android phones un-pairing from the car?
I use Google Pixel 7 and had no problem whatsoever.

I had some rattling sound on my steering wheel that initially went away when I used the horn. The rattle eventually came back but would stop as long as I’m pulling the bottom of the horn towards me. When my dealership looked at it, they said there was a barcode sticker that was left on the back of the airbag causing the noise.
How long did the fix take? I have this same issue and it’s really unnerving. Pulling the horn towards me does remove the sound for some reason.

I lived with a piece of felt lodged under the airbag cover for the last year. The dealer told me there was nothing they can do. Corporate sent me to another dealer for other issues and I figured I would bring the rattle up to them as well. They were at least willing to remove the cover and check for me. They said it was the wiring and reinforced the wires. It seems to be completely gone now.

One thing that bothers me is that when people sit in the back seat, sometimes the seat belt doesn't retract properly, so there is a loud rattle when I drive with windows down.

Agree. Definitely a pain, though the clip provided is a reliable (though not so convenient) fix.

Clip? How does it work? I'll have to go take a look :D

Good to know. I was going to shove a piece of rubber foam under there just to stop the rattling. I’ll talk to my local dealer here in San Diego to see if they can get it resolved.

I had it done at the same time as some other work and it didn’t take more than an hour.

Sadly I didn't take any but he used aluminum tape over everything when finished. It is SUPER thin which is vital as there is precious little clearance. and protects it on both sides should it make contact occasionally but so far it's been silent and no more glitches.

Want the part number? It's 96125-CU-000 for that panel.
My dealer made goof that is for the rear USB jack panel in center console. The front one is $304 and part number is 96120-CU000

FYI. New GV60 RECALL.
While we knew that the ICCU fix was posted, this just came in from my service rep:

Description: Certain 2023MY G80 Electrified (RG3 EV), 2023-24MY GV60 (JW1 EV), and 2023-24My
GV70 Electrified (JK1a EV) vehicles may have a condition where low 12V auxiliary battery charging
occurs due to an ICCU (Integrated Charge Control Unit) fault and may set the following DTC P1A9096
– “DC/DC Converter Input Voltage Sensor Fault”.

When a fault occurs, the vehicle may enter a reduced power mode while various warning lights, an
audible chime will sound, and large messaging in the vehicle’s instrument cluster will appear and
instruct the driver to stop the vehicle.

The Service Procedure flow to be followed is outlined by the flowchart on Page-3. The ICCU system
is to be checked by GDS for DTC P1A9096 and depending on the result, will involve either an ICCU
software update, or ICCU and fuse replacement.

The secondary recall that was just recently added is as follows –
Description: This updated Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) software package includes the following:

• Brake light logic update for regenerative braking.

• i-Pedal mode operation logic update.

• 12V battery saver logic update allows charging from EV Battery as low as 10% SOC when parked.

Interesting.

Anyone have their rear axles snap before they got around to do the recall? Yep My right one let go last week. She has my axles on order so they can install as soon as they arrive. Let me say my car is as clean as it's ever been as been detailing it in garage since.

Wow, so can you tell us what the circumstances were when this broke? Speed? How did the car react? Any ancillary damage to the car?

Well axles arrived to dealer today so I had car towed there this morning. Hope they can get them swapped out today

Actually was accelerating modestly as I turned right and snap grind grind grind grind. I made it to my destination a block away and made sure no fluid was leaking and nope. It actually does drive but it grinds awefullly when starting from stop or applying power in corner or coming to a stop as the axle keep spinnning while car is stopped. Now bear in mind I drift this car often so I was not the gentlest on the axles to begin with but for sure that recall is real.

A couple issues found with the loaner I'm currently driving:
  • The seat shifting issue that's been previously mentioned.
  • The HUD keeps on cutting in and out. About 1/4 of the time, when it comes back in the main gauge cluster flickers.

Had my one year 24,000 km service. They applied the ICCU and VCU service campaign software.
I asked them to look at a sticking rear window, that intermittently hangs up on auto up. Turns out there is a folded interior trim piece that needs replacing, part ordered. They replaced my cabin filter. Asked them to replace the wipers but apparently they have to order these. Weird, you would think that would be a common in stock item. As far as I can tell they are not anything special, like silicone inserts or something. Just hybrid beam design wipers, 26 inch on left and 18 inch on right. Might just pop by the local Hyundai dealer as I am fairly certain they are the same wipers for Ioniq 5 and probably a dozen other Hyundai models. I generally prefer OE wipers but I see Rock auto has something fairly OE equivalent, maybe even better for likely half of the OE price.

Agree. Ridiculous that they're not stocking a common wear component. IMO, no point in waiting for an OE part that will cost more, with likely no better performance than aftermarket.
