Purchased new 2011 Genesis 4.6 with tech in September 2010. Now have just over 156,000 miles

I have a 2010 4.6L with 158,000 but.... after 150,000 it’s burning almost quart of oil for 1000 miles wtf ???

Put over 220,000 on our 2011 4.6 with tech. Only used OEM filters and Valvoline synthetic oil changed every 5000 miles. Car never used oil. Traded in for a new 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum.

2011 4.6 with 130k. Try cleaning your pcv valve, I was burning about a quart every 500 miles. Lucky for me, I’m getting better performance, better mpg, and zero oil burning for thousands of miles since cleaning. I would start there before assuming the pistons need new rings. I thought I needed a rebuild until I took 15 minutes to complete this easy service. also, put some 91 octane in it to clean those valves! Your engine is port injected! More importantly, research the forums better! This forum is a treasure trove of genesis Knowledge!

I am in the Ford Expedition forum. Someone did a roll call for how much mileage. A few were over 400k, several more in 300k range, and bunches in the high 100k or in the 200k range. Was great to read some of the stories and info. I bet there are some high 100k Genny floating around. And others with high mileage compared to the age. Let's hear about all mileage..
