USA Deposits Available in CT, NY, NJ and CA

I'm not certain that either has HDA 2 since they only list HDA in the spec sheet. All Genesis models had their HDA 2 downgraded to HDA back in March due to chip shortage. Oddly, Kias are still shipping with HDA 2.
That would be a weird omission as Hyundai is still delivering HDA2 in Ioniq 5s, at least n North America.

The system in the EV6/Ioniq 5 is the GEN5W, the latest gen of the in-house Android-based system. Hyundai had previously announced their plans to migrate to nVidia Drive. The GV60 is the initial implementation and is probably using Drive iX.

There is also a marketing page re: GV60 that emphasizes the scope of the OTA capabilities. I think it is on the Korean (English) site, It also talks about the ccIC system that integrates the clusters, infotainment, etc. and notes that the GV60 is the first to implement this feature, which will be standard for all new models. It is easy to see the difference from the old Android system and the nVida Drive interface. The Drive system is demoed here:
Compare that against any of the Ioniq 5/ EV6 demos.

nVidia's stack for OEM auto applications is: QNX (gauge cluster ...), Linux, and Android.
The Linux layer is likely handling sensor inputs, modeling, learning and inference. Android is presumably the UI layer and bridge to external services (mapping, music, ...).

GV60 is distinctive in the Genesis product line, but it is being used as the dev platform for their cutting edge tech - expect the next G90 to be a statement of tech leadership. You can see the initial features in the GV60 Performance. It is using the modeling, learning and inference layer to provide the adaptive lane following (learn the driver's style) capacity. A clear use is in 'road preview' where it is doing real-time road surface prediction to electronically adjust the suspension. It is known that Hyundai is doing this using just the camera input (plus GPS - not sure how that fits in though). Of course the face recognition system in GV60 is part of this picture as well.

Hyundai has made a strategic commitment as a development partner for their move to L3, L4 autonomous systems. In fact, the chairman has said that the company has focused strategic investment on advanced tech/autonomy against the choice of integration of battery manufacturing. They are betting battery availability will sort itself out and that the strategic winners will be those who lead in autonomy implementations. I think Hyundai is exactly right about that.
This is great. hopefully this means wireless Carplay and AA are in tow with the new system. As I don't think any current gen Kia/Hyundai/Genesis models feature wireless Carplay.

The Digital Key 2 only being on the Performance makes this a dilemma - I can live without everything else, but the Digital Key seems like such a nice convenience...but assuming the price difference is $10k, is it really worth it? 😭

I don't see Digital Key as a big deal. Just keep a key buried in your pocket or purse. You never need to touch it.

The Digital Key 2 depends on the ultra-wideband sensor.
For me, the slightly better interior (especially the seats) and the active suspension is worth a good amount. I would be happy with the smaller wheels and lower power in the Advanced. Both the Advanced and Performance have the next-gen hardware and software tech stack (nVidia) in contrast to the Ioniq 5/EV6 (last gen in-house system).
 
I wish we knew for sure whether a battery conditioning heater and heat pump will be included with the initial USA models. These are listed in the worldwide specs as being on every model; however, the USA owners manual mentions that battery conditioning "mode is available for the vehicles equipped with the battery heater."

More detail on the headlights would also be welcome. Hoping for a chance to have the intelligent LED pixel control system since it is now legal in the US. Perhaps the hardware is all there and it is just a matter of an OTA update when the proper regulatory work is completed. (Pretty sure this is the situation for Polestar).
 
I've read a couple articles with some detail on the recent 'approval' of ADB lights in the US. They implied that it could still be some time before they are seen on US vehicles as manufacturers have to conduct and submit some test data.

Us Canadians are cheering for you. There are a number of manufacturers that treat NA as one homogeneous market, and are not offering ADB here on their vehicles, even though they can. Fortunately, Genesis isn't one of them.

Where do you see the US owner's manual?
 
While we continue to wait - I also reconfirmed the US color combinations with the concierge.
The exterior colors for the Advanced model are Vik Black, Uyuni White, Alta White, Himalayan Gray, Savile Silver, Atacama Copper, Hanauma Mint and Sao Paolo Lime. These colors may either have the Obsidian Black interior or the Ash Gray/Glacier White interior. These exterior and interior colors are all the same for the Performance model with an addition of the Matterhorn White (Matte) exterior and the Torrent Navy interior which is an option for the Matterhorn White/Sao Paolo Lime/Uyuni White.

Interesting point re: marketing.

I think Genesis is focusing on luxury, design, and driving experience in the path to building their brand. The tech is there - face recognition, for example - but not central. Plus that, pure tech is hard to market. Too much explaining is needed for most customers ( who are not like the people who hang in forums). Apart from explaining the tech, marketing must explain why it matters when the choice is BMW or Genesis.

In the end, Genesis desires brand parity with BMW, MB, Audi, and Porsche. That is built around driving experience and prestige.

Also, FWIW I'm not particularly impressed with Tesla autopilot (and am appalled at their dev attitude for FSD). That said, it seems fine and is quite competitive now. They have the important experience of implementing these systems for many years now.

I do not consider Tesla to be an AI technology leader in the larger picture. The lead they have now (if any) will likely diminish. The input handling, modeling, and decision making (predictive systems) is well within the grasp of others (like nVidia, Google, MSFT, ...). There is no secret software sauce - system reliability, execution speed, and especially the capacity to recognize and handle edge cases is central to the next gen level 3+ systems. OTA will allow others to push new models to improve systems just as Tesla does. Big groups are potentially well-placed when working with the right partners because of their large-scale systems integration experience.

Nor would I want it to be like Autopilot. I think that HDA2 would do a better job at fulfilling its promise than Autopilot. The problem with Autopilot is that Tesla makes people think that it can drive for them, so every month we see some video of someone doing something foolish in their Tesla - or suffering the consequences of their misplaced confidence.

HDA2 says it will do certain things, and from what I've seen, it does a pretty good job at that. Autopilot promises the world, and fails.

I don't want to relinquish control to some AI. If the car can keep me in the middle of the lane, manage following distance, and bends in the road, I am happy.

Pretty certain that the GV60 and the 2022 G90 are the only vehicles to sport the new Nvidia system called ccIC (connected car integrated cockpit). If you check this link, select the model and scroll down to the Infotainment manual link, both G80 and GV80 still link to the old Hyundai Premium Gen 6 systems. Only the G90 and GV60 redirect to the new ccIC infotainment manual.
