  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do to the Gennie today?

I bought this one.

Finally decided to put on the front wing. Been holding off since i wasnt sure if it was gonna look good. But no regret at all, looks great!

Just now... OMG.... I'm a relatively new R-Spec owner and I just learned something about my new car. It's a freakin' BEAST!! So im just heading home from an evening of good food and drinks -out on the town... I'm near home now on this short stretch of road from a major road leading to my subdivision. Knowing I've never seen LE positioned to strike in the area, I figure I'll test out my very first tank refill of premium. I put the floor-hinged pedal to the firewall and I'm sent deep back into my seat. UNREAL. Mind you, this is about a quarter mile I'm dealing with before I need to make a 90 degree turn into my subdivision. THe car effortlessly reaches 90 mph! I could not believe it.... I barely made the turn onto my street. The Conti's complained a bit as we slowed so hard, but G#d D@amn... so unreal. I suppose in all my experiences with owning high performance cars before, I've never owned one like my Genesis; 429HP is truly a thing of beauty, and to behold. I think I might need to find a place (track) where I can really experience this car without fear of LE retribution. That's what I did with my Genesis tnight.

Drinks + 429 = RIP

Ordered a dead pedal prosthesis.

Had my new dead pedal installed today and it's a winner. Puts the left foot rest right where it should be!

Been busy the last 2 days.... turned 300 miles on my R-Spec, had the windows tinted as well as had AirBlue tint applied to the windshield, changed the fog lamps, changed the tag lights to LED, and stripped, clay bared, and applied sealant to the paint and wheels. Car looks amazing. Should have the grill painted, and rear deck lid installed in a week or so. Ill post some pics tomorrow and after the grill and wing are installed.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but will try. I have the front, rear wing emblems I need to install. The front assembly has two clips but do not believe there are any holes for them on the front hood. Can someone tell me how they did it when they rebadged their Genesis Sedan on the front of their car?

Had my very first service done today.. @6399 miles. Filter was fairly clean, much to my surprise. Was all done in about 55 mins, incl. washing etc.

You need to use a dremel tool to remove those two posts before affixing the wing to the hood.

The hood on the HMA genesis does not have the wing holes like the KDM version. ;)

As it was over 60 degrees Saturday, the car got it's first wash and wax. Looks fab. Oh, and tonight while driving down I-270, I took this blurry pic...

(One mile on the ODO for every horsepower! :-)

This past weekend I did the Dremel tool ashtray conversion posted above. Now I can pull the whole tray out when digging for a specific coin. Before I just had the ashtray holder sitting on the workbench and used the empty cavity for coins.

I changed the rear Flying H on the trunk and put on a Chrome Genesis plate and the winged rear emblem....I installed the wings wheel center hubs parts as well. It was raining today...so no pics yet...way too dirty.

Sin...

Which bulb did you get for the rear tag...No owners manual yet.

Installed the MSA cat deletes tonight. With my Magnaflow catback already installed, my exhaust is complete.

I'm thinking someone should do some deeper testing and compose a couple minute video of exterior driving and interior noise levels.

My car hits the shop this Saturday for exhaust tuning. Looking forward to this BTW.
