  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What was your car before buying G2 genesis 2015 - 2016 ?

1987 Mustang coupe 5.0L - Drove for 2 years before it was stolen
1991 MR2 Turbo - Drove for 4 years before I wrecked it
1991 MR2 Turbo - Drove for 7 years, still have it and it needs a lot of work
2011 Sonata 2.0T Limited - Drove for 5 years before trading it in last month.

The Mustang and MR2s were memorable cars. I plant to restore the MR2 I still have. The Sonata on the other hand... Great reliable car but it's been about a month since I let go of it and try as I may, I can't remember what it was like... LOL

2012 Genesis 3.8
2004 Acura TL 6-speed
1995 Acura Legend coupe 6-speed
1990 Acura Integra GS 5-speed

In 2012 I decided that I was tired of driving with a manual transmission in San Francisco Bay Area traffic. My current Genesis is a significant step up over my 2012 Genesis.

50% of people migrated from another competitor brands

like BMW and Mercedes and Audi and Lincoln

and some are upgrading from lower segment of brands

and some either buying another genesis stepping up from 1G genesis to 2G genesis

thats mean they are going to the right direction on comparing them self to the germans

2012 Genesis 4.6 V8. Before that was a 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD. My favorite car ever was my 2005 Lexus GS 300.

2014 Infiniti Q50 Premium (total loss in flood)

I'm still having some withdrawal pains due to lesser horsepower and softer suspension, but enjoying silky, serene open highway cruising in the Genesis.
(and the 100K price tag for a new 2016 CTS-V is out of my budget range)
