  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have just under 24,000 miles on my 11/09 build 3.8 TECH. I am getting louder road noise from the Dunlop's that seems to have started just weeks ago (use snows all around NOV-MAR)- tire rotation in order again perhaps. Ride is a little less fresh- car is still immaculate inside and out. Transmission hinted at some strange downshifts and harder shifts- which I plan to have dealer look at- and get my free NAV upgrade?

Let me know your mileages- see who is tops!

I guess I won't be a contender - I'm averaging about 800 miles per month

On another forum there is an owner who as of last month had racked up over 60K.

I'm certainly not tops, but I'll roll 50K in the next few days just a few weeks shy of 2 years of ownership. I'm hoping to see 200K in the next 6 years.

2009: 15,800k

I have an 09 and I'm about to turn over 30k miles, 29,8xx at the moment. First post, new member btw.

Welcome Tahoe! Did you by new/used? Let us know if you had any servie issues, still running on factory installed Dunlops, etc.

Can't compete with some of you...I've done 7,413 miles in exactly 4 months.

Purchased 11/08 61,500 miles only oil changes and two sensors replaced under warranty.

Purchased 11/08 with 30k miles. On stock dunlops still. Had a freak highway happening. I was driving a rock shot through my grille and punctured a hole in my A/C Compressor and WAS NOT COVERED BY MY 100,000 Mile warranty. $600 later it was fixed.

Gotcha beat - in 6 months I've done 6415 miles. Hook 'em!

2009 3.8 - 150 Miles shy of 30,000 still running on factory tires except in the winter when i swap them for snow tires. I'm getting the same increasing road noise, i just had some LSD part replaced in the rear under one of the TSB which did make a difference. Alignment is still out even though i paid for a new one (the dealership will be hearing from me on my next trip).

Bought my Genesis in April 09....raked up 24,000 by February, Dunlaps were replaced at 22,000...Have a 3 year lease with 15k miles per year...So in March I purchased a 08 Accent to keep my mileage down on the Genesis.

Since then I have now 26k on my Genesis and already put 10K miles on the Accent in 5 months ownership.

How do you like the Accent? Any mechanical issues, TSB's, wear and tear issues on the Genesis?

TomT-

You look to been leading in the Genesis Mileage Challenge! What rubber ar you driving on now? (Assume not the original Dunlop Sport 5000M)

Dunlops lasted 39,200 Now driving on Goodyears they seem to be wearing at about the same rate

Accent:
I bought the 08 Accent Hatch in March with 16,600 for $7850 cash. Had some vibrations at 60 mph and higher. 2 new front tires took care of that. It drives nice what you would expect from a little 4 cydr. I average 30 mpg with both city and highway. Surprisingly alot of room for a 2 door and good height for me 6'2" Oh course the Genesis drives like a dream.

Genesis:
Other than Dealer had to change out the backup camera (went blank on occasion) and a adjust the trunk lid. No wear and tear so far. Leather still nice. Put on a rear window spoiler, painted mud guards, and a VIM to play DVD's for passengers while driving. And of course changing the Dunlaps

Purchased in 3/2010, ~17K miles, including one drive from Texas to New York and numerous drives between Austin and Houston.

I got my Genesis one year ago come September, and will likely hit 25k mi in Sept as well. I'm getting new Pirelli tires this weekend and an alignment (might increase camber a bit) so I expect to finally get a chance to experience the car on some decent tires.
