  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Winter wheel & tire packages?

The Blizzaks are directional and it looks like the rotation arrow on your right front tire is facing to the rear. If not then carry on and have a happy Columbus Day weekend.
I agree. All winter tires are directional and they have to be installed in the correct rotations otherwise they will get destroyed very fast. Please have them rechecked somewhere else if the same shop giving you excuses.

Great catch. Taking it in tonight to correct the issue. Thanks for helping!

Thanks so much for the photos with everything mounted, I just picked up my set on a US border run. They look fantastic on the Havana Red as well. I can't get over the weight difference between these and the stock rims - just a guess at the moment but I'm thinking this set will be a good 100 pounds lighter?
I don't think it would be that much. If the wheel weight for the 5-spokes is true (I find 32lbs hard to believe, honestly), you might save 50lbs at most, but probably closer to 40.

I saw that Tire Rack finally has winter sets for the G70 but when you try to select the rim it does not give you the option to mount it with the TPMS sensors, with an explanation that tire rack does not carry the sensor for the G70. I am confused, isn't supposed to be the same sensor than for the Kia Stinger GT (which they carry)?

Call me old fashioned, but I have survived 50 years without TPMS ... I think I can just pay attention to the feel of the car, and do a walkaround when I gas up.

The OEM's felt like tanks in comparison, I just did a quick switch of one to confirm brake clearance. We'll do a weigh in when we do the full switch ;)

Unfortunately, most drivers have no idea by sight or feel. It is estimated 25% of cars have an underinflated tire. Most drivers just gas and go. Rare that I see anyone take a minute to check things.

I would like to confirm that any Fast Wheels RIMS with +40 offset and minimum 67.1 center bore can fit the car without any issues. I confirmed by driving it carefully on bumps, pot holes and 0-100 straight line acceleration. The front shocks have no interference.

FAST WHEELS FC04 TITANIUM 18X8 +40 5X114.3MM 72.6MM
SKU: FC04-1880-65TN+40C726
Tires: Continental WinterContact SI (Purchased User with 60% Thread) - 35 PSI Air
TPMS: 52933-J5000 (Kia Stinger TPMS) Worked without re-learn or re-programming.

Tires are very quite and soft on the road. The ride isn't more firmer may be because the after market rims and tires are half the weight. With summer tires I had noticed that the car would stick to the road like a glue. With Winter setup it's more jumpy and jello. Overall, I am happy with the setup and it looks aggressive on the car.

They won't be half the weight. A few pounds less more likely.
Looks real nice though.

Since I needed to confirm the TPMS functionality for myself and for work, I fully bolted the winter wheels on and went for a drive.

So to further confirm everything in this thread:
From Tire Rack, using 2019 Kia Stinger GT AWD, my 18" winter wheel and tire set fits perfectly and clears the Brembos on my Sport. Tire Rack is very careful about fitment, so this method to get a set of wheels and tires is a sure bet for fitment. My only advice is that, if you want the best look, make sure you choose a wheel with a 35mm or *lower* offset from their list. That will keep the wheels from looking more sunken-in than stock.

The TPMS sensors did self-program in less than 2 miles. It may have been coincidence, but the tire pressures showed up seconds after I hit 45mph. I also had the tires set to different pressures from my OE set to make sure the system wasn't showing an old reading.

I would absolutely say that ordering a set from Tire Rack as detailed above is a worry-free choice.

^You know that bronze actually looks really cool on your car. Best set of winter wheels i've seen so far on the G70!

Installed mine on Friday. RWC MHK430; 18 x 8; ET 32. 225/45 18 Pirelli Sotto Zero 3. They're a little lacking in the dish department but they'll be easy to clean. I also "MacGyvered" some Genesis centre caps.

Thanks guys. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the look when I first installed them, but they've grown on me since. Probably being so used to seeing the car with the 19's. The forecast has high-mid single digit temps after Thursday so i think my timing was right.

Hey Guys I'm also in the market now to buy some winter tires. I actually already picked up some wheels a few months ago and they ended up being some 19 in wheels for a great price. Does anyone have any experience running 225/40/19 on their cars yet?
