  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

MN members

Since our cars are not "show" cars (except Scott's is probably surgically cleaned and detailed) we won't be exhibiting like a classic Mustang club would be. So food/beer close by is probably a good idea. If there are more than a half dozen of us, we could probably go to Weaver Lake park instead of Applebees.

It would help if we had a head count.

Combo of the two? No clue on where in MG, that's the sticks to me.

Jesus spartan:eek: Have you been to MG in the last 15 years, LOL!

I did mention we could meet elsewhere in an earlier post:) DT Mpls would be a great middle meeting point, but it's DT and no where to park unless you pay $, and not a good place for a car meet. I'm 20 minutes (at most) from DT Mpls.

?? Do we have a spot picked out or a head count?

I'm in for either time...maybe closer to 7:30 for me as I have two young ones to help put to sleep.

I didn't mean MG wasn't developed when I said the sticks Scott, just out in the boonies is all. Maybe I should have said BFE huh? JK

Three of us then?

Fun times had by all that showed for the meet:grouphug: 30 people showed up minus 27. Turned out to be a fun gathering and chatting about cars. 3 sexy black V8 Genesis sedans. I got to drive an RSpec for the 1st time, thanks to EXBMWGUY:cool: The RSpec is very planted and sure-footed when driving over bumps and road imperfections, especially when turning. Very nice!

cpartan- Thanks for the DVD-A, that was generous of you, props! Looking forward to meeting again and hopefully we can get more peeps to join us.

And I got to ride in the back seat of a beautiful black 4.6, thanks to Scott.
A very comfortable place to be, with practically no drone with his modified exhaust. Next time, maybe more people will show up. :D

Fun times, thanks for organizing Scott. Both the Gs were fun to ride in and I noticed the R-spec was smooooooth as well. Definitely an improvement over my '10 4.6 with stock Dunflops still on it.

Thanks for the wheel caps EXBMWGUY. I pulled the Hs off last night and the wings from the ones you gave me, just need to go pick up some 3M tape today so I can put the wings on.

Enjoy the DVD-A Scott, if I happen upon anymore within said genre I'll be sure to make copies for you.

cspartan you said Octoberish for next time didn't you?;)

Sure and I just got the 3 pounds of north shore bugs off my bumper, mirrors and windshield from the 1k weekend trip! Avg 28.7 mpg

Hey Scott - do you have a date yet for putting your car away for the winter?

I must say, I can not wait for warmer weather when I can meet some of the other Genny owners in our Area.

Maybe we can a parking lot full of shiny Gennys in the Spring (if we ever have Spring).

How is everyone's cars doing in this MN winter?

I have strictly Hankook tires on my ride and it's still brutal. Thinking of getting something AWD. Summers are the best in this car, but winters... Not so much.

It's doable with decent winter tires and the right setup, i.e. minus sizing and dedicated winter wheel/tires. Even with that, glare ice and that greasy stuff like we've had here recently makes for blood pressure spikes and colorful language.

And yes, I fully expect somebody to chime in with "I've been driving on these roads with RWD for 30 years and you just have to know how to do it . . . " It never fails.

^ and that person(s) that throws this line out has more then likely never drove a vehicle with winter tires IMO.
