  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis "Likes":

6. Shuffle is always on!! I hated in my 2013 Genesis Coupe I had to press Random, every single time I start up the car.

WHERE is the setting for this? I've not been able to locate it and consequently I've been resetting the shuffle function each and every time I restart the vehicle.

No - just not muted!

I remember setting this option on in one of the setup screens just don’t remember which one. Probably one of the default nav setups.

It's definitely in the settings. It seems to work on extreme curves even when ther NAV is not in use. A nice feature.

Prompts in order:
"Curve ahead."
"I said curve ahead."
"Slow the f*** down."
"How'd that feel?"

It's in the Settings menu under Guidance - it's called "curve alert".

Autolock, well sort of. I noticed if you unlock the car via the fob or exterior door handle button but do not enter the car. I will automatically re-lock and fold the mirrors back about a minute later.

Most cars do this. Even my 15 year old Camry (except the mirrors).

I buy my cars based on best bang with the toys for the buck. An E class Mercedes or BMW 5 series roughly equally equipped would cost in the neighborhood of $25K more than an V6 AWD Ultimate. I decided it was not worth and extra $25K just to get German badges on my car, not to mention an inferior warranty. So my first like is bang for the buck for sure. Other things I am digging so far after a month with my Empire Grey/V6/AWD/Ultimate:

The HUD is awesome, doesn't display everything it could, but still great.
Smart Cruise is sweet, use it ALL the time.
Auto Hold is nice, wish I didn't have to turn it on every time.
I really feel that the Lane Assistance (together with the Smart Cruise) makes this car much safer than most.
The Lexicon audio kicks serious ass, when you really crank it up it is still so crystal clear that you really don't realize how loud it is.
I have already found the automatic trunk very useful several times, even being able to use the button to close it when your hands are full while emptying the trunk is a great thing to have. It is pretty tough to manually close a trunk lid with 3 bags of groceries in each hand, but not to press a button.
I really like the general cabin design, seating, dash, all comes together in a very classy way in my opinion.
The automatic puddle lights are adorbs, got to teach all my friends that new automotive term, almost all of them say "cool" when they see them for the first time.
After rebadging the trunk, no Hyundai visible anywhere!

DrNotes I have to say I completely agree with everything you said. As I’ve said before Hyundai has really done their homework here. I think they get it now. They know how to build a luxury car.

hmmm, im using a USB drive with MP3s on it. So I just bring up the menu in Media and choose shuffle/random. Forgot what its called.

Sure thing :)....

LKA (Lane Keep Assist) + Lane Departure: On till you turn it off.
Blind Spot Monitoring: Always on in the mirrors, can turn on/off for the HUD.
AEB (Autonomous Braking) Always on.
Driving Modes (Sports etc.) Must be set again each time you start the car.
Smart Cruise: Must be set again each time you start the car (distance included).
Traction Control: On unless you turn it off (ill have to see if it resets each time haven't turned it off personally).
Rear Cross Traffic Alert: On (haven't turned this off either will check it tomorrow).

So glad I read this and thanks for posting-I thought I have been driving in sport mode since I pushed the button four days ago and now I finally picked up on the fact that it changes the back lighting on the center display in coordination with each mode which is really cool and will help me know what mode I'm driving in. The car I owned before Would stay in whatever mode you had it in so I assumed this works the same way at least now I know what to do

The car plays a funny little musical note if a window is down and you shut the ignition off.

Kind of amusing - at least not objectionable like the "NAV safety warning" -- anybody figured out how to get rid of that thing?

The rear. It's not as attention-grabbing as the front, but everything flows very nicely. If you have the Genesis wing badge, the angle of the wings and the tail lights match, which helps tie everything together.

my climate control was off and I suddenly noticed a 'smart ventilation activated' notification or something of that nature, and I could feel a small amount of air coming from the vents. Pretty cool little feature to keep fresh air in the cabin when the climate control is turned off.

I noticed the same thing a couple of days ago. I had just put the windows down, and since it was humid the windshield started to fog slightly. I'm pretty sure it activated the defogger even with the climate control off, which is pretty smart.

I completely agree with you. The back of the car is a bit of a let-down. I think at least some chrome at the top and bottom of the rear trunk lines would have helped.

Maybe they are saving the "real" looks for the new Equus coming next year. That's what I'm into next. If the Genesis is this good, imagine what the Equus will be like!!!

Re: 2015 Genesis "Likes":Air cooled seats

Just drove back from DC to L.I. Air cooled seats were awesome. They actually felt cold to the touch. It was 86 and sunny and hot seats cooled off in a hurry after the car sat for a while. Almost didn't mind the insane traffic on the N.E. Corridor this weekend. Graduations, derailment.
