  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis Tech Package - Front turn signal bulb blown - LED Replacement?

So you're saying the bulb listed in your link will work in the OEM sockets as DRLs and as a switchback bulb? So you're using the straight amber bulbs - anyone tried the switchback bulbs to see if they work or not in the OEM sockets?

Yes. The HDRL module is reimplementing the built-in switchback timer that was in the V3 Tritons. It would be worthwhile to ask VLEDs what the switchback delay is though. Way back in the V3 days their single-pin implementation had some issues...

Ok, bought and replaced my Pilot bulbs with CK bulbs since the Pilot bulbs had started to hyperflash after 5000 miles. Took out the Pilot bulbs and on each one one of the front leds had separated from the bulb. Probably contributing to the flashing.
Now the CK bulbs - super well made, more heavy duty than the Pilots for sure! And I'm estimating twice as bright - deeper amber color. Great addition to the front of the car. I'm sold for now. We'll see how long they last. - and oh, no hyperflashing at all.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned here but when I replaced my blinkers to LED, one would not work at all. Turned out that I had to lift up the following metal piece so it makes the contact with the bulb:
21084

Did the same thing for the other one just in case. No problems since then.

Yes, I had to re-pin my Driver's side. It was an easy project. Did it while I was working on making the white LED strip to work as DRL (bright mode).

I've had my 2015 Genesis for about a year and haven't blown a bulb yet. That includes a drive from Maine to Florida. I did rewire mine so that the DRL is on the LED strip and the blinker is just a blinker. That may be why mine haven't blown as they're only on when I have the blinker on.
How did you rewire it??

Check the link in my signature. I used danemania1 and parisgrey instructions to do mine and created a tutorial.

Checking back in. After getting one of the bulbs replaced by Amazon. 5 months later I have had zero issues running the Sirius LEDs in DRL mode for hours, even in the summer heat. I have been happy thus far!

Sirius bulbs worked great with no hyperflash! SIRIUSLY bright! :-)

I just replaced my pilot leds (since they were hyperflashing) with those SiriusLED and the new ones are way brighter. This is my fourth brand/set of LEDs, so hopefully these don't start hyperflashing in a month or two.
Were those a plug & play deal, or did you have to rewire?

When I changed my last incandescent bulb, one of the bottom contacts were melted like the photo that I saw in a previous post...

Plug and play. I swapped them out in less than 5 minutes.

Sweet... Although it'll take me longer than 5 min - I have the 5.0 & have to take out both air filter boxes!

Any updates on which bulbs are the brightest, most reliable and have a CANbus?

VLEDs Triton V6. 20,000 miles since install.

if you want less brightness for less cost, get the SiriusLEDs.
