In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2015/2016 Generation Genesis "Dislikes"

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

Dare I say like the bottom one better.

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

Well !! I guess I better like it cause I got me a $50,000.00 2015 Hyundai 5.0 Genesis Ultimate in the garage right now :)

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

I personally like the tail end as is - simple and elegant and doesn't need a "me too" chrome strip like everyone else appears to use these days.

Me, too.

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

Wow - that's not my experience at all. I constantly get looks and positive comments on the exterior of my 2015 Empire State Gray 3.8 AWD - many from BMW/Audi/Mercedes owners. I can't tell you how often I find people doing a walk around the car in the parking lot when I come out of a store.

Agreed on the comments.... I have had a ton of people ask me about my 2015 Parisian Gray 3.8 AWD and I get a ton of comments about the color, the design , and the interior. The other day I parked it, with a few random cars parked near me, and went into a store. When I came back out I found a new Equus parked next to me and an R-Spec Genesis next to it. Both drivers were hanging out waiting to talk to the the owner of the 2015 Genesis. It was a really cool experience.

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

I love the car but things I dislike after owning it for almost 2 months:
- No option to open or close windows or sunroof with Key Fob or Cell App. On my 08 Altima I was able to hold unlock and the windows would roll down. Simple mode would roll them up with the lock button.
- Lack of Remote Start with keyfob. Like pressing lock 3 times.
- Like everyone stated, not remembering drive mode, Auto Brake mode and distance between car for cruise control after turning the car off.
- Auto seat mode per key

I thought the Auto Brake mode was always on. Can someone confirm this?

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

Perhaps he means the Auto hold mode.

I think that's what he's referring to also. I've used that feature once just to see if it works (which of course it does). It's neat, but I never use it. I have a neighbor with a really steep driveway, and she can't back her car out because she panics when it rolls forward before she can apply enough gas to move backwards. She would love it.

Autohold is so much more than parking in a steep driveway, I'm using it all the time. You stop at a traffic light and you take your foot off the break and it holds right there. Very neat.

A must have feature in my book.

Auto hold actually applies the electronic parking brake and is not needed on a steep driveway as the transmission is setup to hold the car from rolling. There is a really steep railway crossing near my home and I can tell you there is no forward or rearward movement when stopped on a steep hill. I have even taken my foot off the brake and kept it off while stopped and it works wonderfully without EPB. ;)

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

I keep coming back to the rear-end as something that could be jazzed-up a bit.

I like the low-key look of the rear end but I'm guessing it's another thing that looks a little different depending on the color. IMO, in dark colors it's kinda stealthy and subdued.

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

Yes, I meant Auto Brake Hold. I get stuck in traffic all the time and I love that feature but I have to remember to activate it every time I get in the car.

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

I think I read if your using the cruise control, it will hold the car for you without pressing the Auto Hold.

No kidding? Interesting.

Yea if you use cruise control it will stop the car completely and resume after traffic keeps moving. Downside is that their is a delay if you barely moving after stopping for traffic which is kind of annoying to that is when I hit the brake pedal to get out of cruise control mode.

I use this feature all the time. Its great for long lights and RR Xing's. I guess its a safety feature that its not engaged automatically all the time.

I don't get out of CC in this situation. I hit resume if needed, then with the CC still on, I then use some accelerator to get the car moving a bit quicker than the CC does. The CC symbol in the HUD blinks frantically at me to remind me that I am overriding the CC with the gas pedal. Starting out faster this way makes folks behind me (and me) much happier. Once I am moving, I will get a little distance behind the car ahead and let the CC take over completely by getting off the accelerator.

That’s the way I do it and it works for me. After a stop I just hit the pedal a little keeps everybody off my back. Keeps the car in Cruise.

Re: 2015 Genesis "Dislikes"

I’m really quite amazed at the obsession with these LED fog lights. To spend $1500.00 in parts have somebody take apart your steering column, front lower grille assemblies and have to pay them for it. Not even sure how it affects the warranty. I don’t see it… but what the hell if it makes you happy go for it.

Agree completely. I don't get it.

+1. I would love it if the car had LED fog lights, and honestly: they should have been in the ultimate package at least. Their absence is a legitimate "dislike". There's no way I'd go through the expense or work to post-install them though. Some folks do get a charge out of this kind of challenge, but I'm just not one of them ;)
