5.0 No AWD?
3.8 18 inch only? No LED Foglights?
Seriously?
I am a Think Tank member, but I don't think they get valuable feedback from members on that site. That is just not the place to get feedback from the customers they are trying to get for the Genesis. This forum would be a much better place, because at least here everyone owns a Genesis or Equus. How does one get into the Hyundai think tank? It seems they're in desperate need of more feedback....
With exception of LED fog lights, the V6 may be the better equipped car but only if all options are added. But of course that would likely bring price up to that of the V8 or perhaps even more.
Maybe they just need to do some more work on an AWD that is robust enough for the V8, since I suspect they would eventually want AWD on the Equus also.
You may be right regarding the AWD 5.0 but I just know that if I do purchase the V6, because I really need AWD, they will release the AWD 5.0 next year and I will then kick myself....several times.
This is the reason I will wait. For people who like their current car and don't have a deadline on making a decision (lease expiration, or someone like Dan with his seat issue) there are all kinds of reasons to pause.
That's my spot. Have a current BMW lease coming up in April and much pressure and incentives from BMW to move over into a new lease on a 550iX. Significant price gap, but....AWD V8, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, soft-close doors...
Loved my 2000 740il in spite of trips to dealer. Not sure my pockets are deep enough for the 550ix.
There is still possibility that the features/options list that was released will be amended. Not likely so for the V8 AWD option but perhaps for heated rear seats and wheel in V8 and LED fogs for V6. I say that because I have seen several pics of the 3.8 with LED fogs.
Yes, I also recall seeing several references to the V8 AWD. Maybe just not bringing it to US. A disappointment.
Mark88 - Thanks for the link and the heads up on the seat package option. I for sure want the V8 with seat optional power bolsters, and RWD. That's really all i care about.According to the feature list on this link, the seats you want are standard on V8 and optional on V6:

"16-way power driver’s seat w/ power bolster, cushion extender and 4-way lumbar, memory (I.M.S)"
Does anyone know if the rear seats have a 60/40 split for fold down capability? My 2011 Maxima doesn't and it's a pain when I need to put things in the trunk that are long and the ski passthrough isn't wide enough. Happened twice recently when I purchased a metal bedframe.
