In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Spy Photos

Good point made regarding non sale of V8 in Korea. If indeed they have an AWD V8, the US market would have to be the target. Something is not making sense here at all.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This is the reason I will wait. For people who like their current car and don't have a deadline on making a decision (lease expiration, or someone like Dan with his seat issue) there are all kinds of reasons to pause.
EXBMW - After reading that the V8 RWD will have the seats, and HUD, I'm seriously thinking that is may be smarter to wait for the April 2015 G priced around $50k MSRP versus getting a 535i BMW that retails at $63k MRSP. This is assuming the seats will work well, which they should. The 2015 Genesis will be V8, much better Lexicon stereo, and much cheaper price for waiting 3 months. I've just heard to many issues on this forum regarding BMW. Will either just trade, or sell 2013 Rspec with 9k miles to Carmax?

KDM

USDM. Notice the absent auto park feature. I'm not sure what the other button does It looks like it is moved toward the passenger side and the around-view monitor button is missing from that row. I do really hate fake button spaces, but those aren't bad. I don't think I would ever use the auto-park feature so I wouldn't miss that, I would really like the around view monitor though. Notice the button for the heated steering wheel is there. This is from a picture set on thekoreancarblog.com and all of the exterior pictures are of the USDM V8, so take that for what it's worth.

This is from an autoblog.com set of pictures of the AWD V6, notice the lack of heated steering wheel option, and another button moved into its place. (sorry it wouldn't embed)

I was glancing and noticed Hyundai was comparing the to the CTS Vsport. Currently the Rspec badge is MIA. I wonder if they are considering that supercharged 5.5L as the new Rspec

Very interesting. This would indicate that their published list of features/options is incorrect unless the button for heated wheel is just that, a button.

I just updated my old post, but yeah. The pictures from detroit and the press release seem to be flipped. The V8 has a button for the heated steering wheel in the pictures, while the V6 AWD does not. I'm assuming they wouldn't use a labeled button if the feature were removed. It's also not KDM because around-view and auto-park are removed.

So if V8 has heated steering wheel it would seem to be part of a cold weather package which then may include AWD. Bit of a stretch and maybe even wishful thinking.

Probably wishful thinking, but them totally missing an AWD V8 in the press release makes more sense than some of the alternatives.

Indeed. V8 AWD would have been perfect for me but in all fairness, I should wait for reviews/tests of V6 and then drive one for comparison. If I did buy V6, it would have to be fully optioned though.

Another reviewer confirming the lack of an AWD V8.

I see. No 5.0 AWD. I am giving up on this.

By the way I thought I could get 19 inch wheels in 3.8 but it turned out to be unlikely. Somewhat it makes sense because the current genesis doesn't offer 19 inch in 3.8 model. But I understand other competitor offers 19 inch or even 20 inch on their 3.X engine cars. I guess it is not happening in Hyundai in the 2nd generation of Genesis.

If the V6 RWD hit's $39,990 as joked about that would be a HUGE price increase unless they're getting rid of the base model and only offering what we now call "premium" and "tech" as options. Otherwise that would represent a 14% price increase. That would make the 5.0 cross $55k with destination if applied linearly. If we're talking mid $50's the value proposition is totally gone imo, especially when it doesn't look like the 5.0 is going to come loaded.

Now if the V6 ends up coming standard with what is now the premium package and only the tech package is optional that changes the math entirely to them completely holding the line on pricing... I think it's still impossible to tell at this point.

If that's the only issue either of us have I'll get a 5.0 and sell you the wheel/tire package at a reasonable price. I'd be looking at 20's with summer tires most likely anyway.

I would think a fully optioned out 3.8 with AWD has to be around $45K.

Based on the 2015 Genesis Sedan feature list for Hyundai Motor America (link provided elsewhere in this forum), there will be a Base Trim model, but it will now include a GPS system (current Base Trim does not have that). So I would guess that the 2015 Base trim will be about $37K-$39K. The 2014 Base Trim is $35,200 (plus $910 Freight).
