  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 turn signal burnout problem

I had a turn signal bulb go out on my 2015 and thinking I'd save $$ I went to a local tire/auto repair shop to get both bulbs replaced since I don't have the tools or patience to tear apart the car to change bulbs. They charged me $45 for the labor since I brought the bulbs in with me.

For heck of it that same day I called dealer I go to for oil changes and he said he charges $20. DOH!!
Who would have thought that??

No need to pull the bumper cover to change a drl for $200 as the dealer stated. Simple well published DIY.

My Hyundai dealer charged $67 to replace both bulbs with LED's. (that I brought in) I have a CPO but did not buy this car from this dealer so he would not do it for free. But now with the LED's I hope not have this problem for a long time. Would be interesting to know if they fixed this problem in newer models.

There's plenty of amber leds that work

Can you share which amber LED's work? There is a lot of confusion about this.

you might have to re-pin one (or both- or none) of your sockets - It's easy, a little time consuming but doable. Search for it on here. Several write ups

So is it a PITA to replace these? I too have a 2015 but bulbs are still working (knock on wood) but I fear I'm going to have to unbolt all kinds of stuff just to get to and replace an $5 bulb.
Its pretty easy to change them. Left side is super easy. Right side is a bit more of a challenge. I guess I am an expert by now. Its getting annoying!

If I leave the light switch all the way down, (off auto), the DRL lights don't go on correct? If that's the case, I'll just use the auto feature at night. Don't drive that much at night anyway.

Those are the same bulbs I've had in for almost 2 months with no issues.

do you need any adapter for these or can I just plug them right in?

They plug right in. I had to pry out the side contact a bit, but they both dropped in and worked. :)

I like the idea of plug and play, but it appears that the lights linked above are "bright white", not amber. I much prefer an amber colored turn signal. Seems having a bright white light for a turn signal would look odd (?)

Disregard!!!! I just noticed they have multiple choice of colors. :)

Do you leave the DRL on? I have leds that I installed but if I leave the DRL on the leds end up giving me issues after a few months.

True! The guy at autozone showed me how to do it!

Facing the car on the left side is a bigger job correct?
I heard it was more challenging. Haven't ran into that issue.
