Fog Light Harness in the 3.8L?

Thank you so much!!
I will do the rewiring , I am not that good in car electronics, when I get the stalk and the wire harness delivered, will look around for somebody in South Florida, who has experience, won't go to dealership for this job, as they made me believe that the wiring is not there and there is no way to install the stalk.

I took two pictures of the installation I did for someone with a 3.8 of the engine fuse connection and the switch on the drivers side fuse panel.

Thank you ,The manager of the dealer I bought my car from refers some of the customer to me I show them the mode I did to my Genesis and some ask me to help them out . I did automotive electrical and electronic on the side for years being an electronic engineer I get access to a lot of test equipment. I am waiting a month when all of the on line Hyundai part folks have there 2015 catalog up to date. Most of them don't want to be bothered researching the parts for you. Once there catalogs are updated you could order for yourself I checked with hyundai Mobis the stalk is not sold separately but is sold as a combination swicth with the wiper stalk . The 5.0 will fit the 3.8 their is a lot of misinformation out there . I had a 2012 Azera I wanted to put a heated steering wheel in the sevice department said it,could not be done I order the steering wheel and clock spring with out giving my vin they would not send me the part I didn't want . Install both parts worked with out problems. A lot of times the dealer and parts departments don't want to deal with these because they have a no return on electrical parts policy. All manufactures make most of there car option ready all you need are the parts and sometimes make slight modifications.

That's a great news that the stalks from 5.0 fits to 3.8!!! :)
I spoke to that eBay seller who sold me the fog lights, he told me the same that it comes with both stalks, I asked him to find out the price for the combination switch and wiring harness.
He's from Korea and are able to buy from MOBIS and other suppliers. Only he's English is so bad that I had to guessed most of he's response. As I understood, he said that original manufacturer won't fit or something like that.
If you know the part numbers , can you verify that these are the correct ones
91840-B1110 the wiring harness, 93400-B1470-4X the multifunctional switch ?
Do you have access to MOBIS parts store as well?
Well let's see what the Korean guy will have for me :)
That was he's response , may be you have better guessing skills :D
MF Suites (fog light switch) is available for sale.
However, different from the general MF switch
Left to right, is sold as a set
This price does not sell a lot more expensive.
To know the exact price
Should be Monday.
South Korea today, Saturday
Mobis is not a business.
Unfortunately
Wiring is not possible to buy genuine
Mobis is not sold in.
I will call to confirm the MF switch price on Monday.
Spend a nice weekend
Thank you.

No good luck my parts cane today, they were the same parts I have on my car. I have to returned them for a 20% stocking fee. I think the switch number 93400-B1450-4X is a good number. I am thinking this wiring harness part number 918040-B1040 is no good. HyundaiOEMparts.com is full of it after I told them what I was looking for. This is BUL after waiting 22 days for the parts. WHERE TO NOW? I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP.

Can someone point me to where to get the cable with the connector to the fog lights? I ordered mine from ebay but cant find the connector that fits anywhere. Went to auto parts stores and hyundai dealer cant get it. The one i ordered on amazon does not fit.
I hard wired to the battery to test out and they look amazing but want to re do it using a matching and fitting connector.

Read back this discussion , it's not clear yet what's the part number for wiring harness and stalk , looks like the stalk from 5.0 fits the 3.8 , otherwise the wiring is already there just need the harness and stalk.

part # for the switch is 93400-B1450-4X LEAVE OUT THE DASH

These pictures have NOTHING to do with what is needed for the 2015 3.8 Genesis. The factory fog lamps slide right in from underneath the car.

While they ultimately slide right in, if you don't remove the bumper they are a bitch to get in as one of the nuts on top of the fog light assembly has to be done by feel in really tight space given the limited clearances. As it's right near where the aluminum (I think) bumper bar is angle cut, I have a numerous cuts from contorting my arms/hands into that tight space!

And once the lights are installed, there is no place to plug them in - so the wiring connecting the 2 fog lights shown in the pictures from the Hyundai tech site in the post below is not present (as I thought was the case from reading earlier posts).

http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showpost.php?p=161401&postcount=133

Is the wiring connecting the 2 fog lights shown in those pictures the harness that folks are talking about needing? If so, where does that plug in to get power/control? Assuming you can get this harness and you have an existing connector to plug it in to (there are a few connectors with caps on them on both sides), is the thought that then installing the stalk from the 5.0 will allow you to control the lights? Otherwise, I'll have to take some other path to wire mine (though I will say that, in the short term, the car actually looks better just with the fog lights in place, even if they are inactive at present :)).

What would be really helpful is if someone with a 5.0 (or Canadian 3.8/5.0), could snap a shot of where the fog light wiring/harness plugs in on their car - may be next time you have the bottom cover off to change you oil, etc.,?

Thanks in advance (hopefully)!

I have my bumper of my car the past 25 days. I do not like put the pumper back on the car and taking the bumper off again. I think it is best to get the right wiring harness and multifunction switch and do the job right. I have no way of knowing if I am ordering the right part unless I see for my self. I have spent $55 to get the parts and $22.00 to return the wrong parts. Just may be I can get the part guy to order on this end to without a vin # If we hold off to see if all dealer update there parts listing we will no if we have the right part # for the 5.0 switch. I have a viin number for a 5.0 will let you know how I make out tomorrow.

Is the wiring harness you are referring to the one that ties the 2 fog lights together per my previous post? If so, do you know where you would plug that in to power/control the lights!

If you understand electrical wiring blueprint , I can send you in PDF, I have that, but in the car exactly where is the place , I have no clue :)
Also the same with the wiring blueprints :)

In the Hyundai Corp Genesis forum, a member said that in Canada the Genesis 3.8 is equipped with LED Fog Lamps

They turn on with DRL , and also with main lights. I keep my switch to Auto mode , I can't turn them off separately. Only way to turn them off is turn off DRL. Here are some pics of wiring.

I am trying to do what you did. How did you connect that to the actual light's plug? I could not find anything that matches the plug. Did you use two separate connectors?

Got it!!! Thank you very much for the info!!!
From who did you ordered?

ROIKINS, THE PART NUMBER IS GOOD (93400-B1450-4X) I use this VIN KMHGN4JF3FU039172 to order my switch today will have the switch on Dec 11, in PM. We can not order the wiring harness. I am going to have someone from dealer ship to come out to my house to install the switch to much work to get the plastic cover off to get to the steering wheel. I HAVE THE BUMPER OFF NOW after I get switch install I can test the pin on the front where the plugs are to make the wiring harness to plug into them. I going to remove the cap tomorrow from the front plug to see what kind of connector I will need to complete the project. I hope to have my baby back on the road by Sun.:)
If you order online you can save your self about $80 bucks. You have my number call if you need any more help.
