Ed - there is a simple solution... next time you park the car in the field, simply zoom out on the map before you turn the car off. That will make the walk a LOT shorter!

I just ordered my update SD card.
Checked the navi version in the car and it was 11.... something.
So hopefully there's an appreciable difference.
BTW, I did the bill to Genesis option, and it processed but look as though I chose Bill Later.
I'm hoping that's just due to system limitations and they wont later charge me.

Just did ours for 2020 G80 Sport via ordered USB stick. Took about 45 minutes. No problems, just slow. This update was basically a maps only update.
Still hoping that a future update will include parallel parking. The car has all the hardware required built in....

What the heck is up with the map voice recognition system!? Three times this weekend I asked the Navi system to find several things just to test it out again. EVERY SINGLE SEARCH lady said, "sorry location not found".Seriously, it couldn't find the 2 Barnes and Nobles in town, or any of the 3 Best Buy's in town, nor any of the numerous McDonald's just as a sample?!

Seriously, something is wrong with voice map search feature. No way it can't locate ANYTHING. There must be a setting somewhere causing her to return zero results on anything I ask her to find.

That doesn't sound good. My 14.5 came in the mail last week but I haven't installed it yet... I did read that the number of overall POI seemed to drop - just assumed that was cleanup. Hopefully they didn't remove your city!

Even stranger and more frustrating...I played around with nav stuff yesterday and if I actually go direct to the POI categories menus, it shows every single place near us within the category. You can then click on the place and it will direct you there. But that is NOT an option while I'm driving. I want to find the place I asked for!

I'm going to call MapnSoft tomorrow to ask for help fixing things.

That's messed up. So it can't find things that are in the database. Maybe the index is hosed.

Do you find that the steering wheel button works as well for Nav destinations as the rear view mirror button? The RVMB has worked flawlessly for me over the years.

kefinaa, I wouldn't mess with the download. When available, request the SD card. They mail it to you quickly and it is a lot easier to install them trying to deal with extracting the files and writing them to an SD card.

I just got an update about 3 months ago. They sent me the replacement SD card. Is there a way to read the GPS version I'm running now? IMO, the update I got was a great improvement over the version that came with my '18 G80. In reading about this update, it says to use my present SD card with no option to receive a new SD card. I'm leery about trying to update my present SD card. What if it's turned to toast? The blurb I read said the update cost $25 which the last one also said, but then it says this update is free for certain newer models. Mine is a '18 G80 Sport.

You shouldn't have any problems: When you have an hour to do the deed, just plug in the new SD Card and do what the card says. The engine should be running to ensure the battery doesn't get hungry. Save the old SD Card for misc files storage or for next years Nav update if you wish to download it.

It's as basic as you can get. "Find McDonalds", "Find Best Buy" and so on. The screen even shows me that I asked "Find Best Buy" and every time is says it can't find anything within 50 miles (even shows the message on my screen. )

It can't be that complicated of a process. I ask to find Walgreens, it should find them. Just like when I use Android Auto and ask Google. It always offers up results every time.

Also, a new twist.

On way to work I decided to ask it for super generic info like "Find pharmacies" Find fast food" and then and only then is it presenting a list of stores related to the request. If I ask for a specific store, nothing. Never finds anything.
