  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post your custom wheels

Not feeling them... Check these out. These are the Genesis Coupe wheels on the Sedan... I think they blow away any aftermarket wheels... Just my 2 cents...

Ive never been a fan of the fat 5 spoke. Look for a 5 spoke thats inset and has a lip. Take a look at the makers of classic euro wheels like BBS and HRE. Most designs you see in wheels from other manufacturers are simple knockoffs of their originals. I know mine are knockoff BBS LM wheels but at $5800 for the wheels alone i went with the alternative.

Genesis coupe wheels look too similar to the 4.6 wheels but they are nice looking.

Rspec wheels belong on an rspec and look similar to a few stock wheels from other makes.

Wheels all depend on what exactly you want to do. If your going for a slammed look, A euro look, A donk, flushed fitment. I personally wanted to do a flushed euro style which ive never done, in that culture certain wheels pass for the styling and aggressive fitment while many dont. Most ppl honestly throw the wrong type of wheels on many cars i see running around, especially here in Tampa. Im sure all of you have seen the full face wheel on a car when it belongs on an suv or too busy of a wheel on a small car like a civic. Hell, ive even seen tuner wheels on an suv. Or my biggest pet peeve is a wheel on a car thats too big and they dont take the time to lower the car to compensate for the now added car height, and im not talking about a donk. Rant over:D

Considered Vossen CV3 20' or Braelin BR01 Silver 20'

Went with Braelin BR04 20x8.5 with Nitto Motivo 245/40/20
Silver with Matte Black

Megan coilovers with Vossen CV3 20X9 and 20X10.5

Very nice. Offset and tire specs?

Megan coilovers with Vossen CV3 20X9 and 20X10.5

Is it just me or does this pic look like you are zero if not positive camber in the rear?? Hoping it is just distorted at that angle although first pic also looks like close to zero camber.

Interested in offsets as well. I'm about to install my Work Varianza V5S 20x9.5+8 front and 20x10+8 rear once they come back from the powdercoater.

I can't wait to see that fitment! I finally got my BC's in, and as soon as I can arrange shop time, I will installing and test fitting my wheels.

Junction Product Heritage III 20x9 +20, 20x10.5 +20. I think I will use 5mm spacers up front, if I am correct in calculations. I am worried about the fender liner tabs - they are massive...

Those JP Heritage III's will look nice on our genesis. Reminds me of the split 5 spoke M45 wheels I had on my G35 Sedan few years back. I will be running no spacers and shouldn't have to do any fender mods unless I have to do something to the liner.

Thanks. I think +15 (with spacer) should be fine. I'll be pretty low though, so I am concerned that full turn or heavy compression will cause a bit of rubbing. I cannot run the tires and stretch I want due to availability and load rating.

When do you get your wheels back? Can't wait to see; what color combo did you powder coat?

Actually haven't taken them yet :( Found out they will remove tires for you when they powdercoat but wont with stretched tires. Hope to get them done in the next few weeks. Going with Work Glossy Bronze like this below, or the closest my powdercoater can get.

Here are the rims I bought on a G35. Lip is powdercoated orange but wasn't coated that well and is spidercracking. Not sure why they only coated the lip on a 1 piece wheel??

What is the big deal with these megan coilovers?!

Well... Its not that they are the greatest coilover over but... the aftermarket support for the sedan is pretty weak. There are only a few brands to choose from. Do a search and you will see.

Strong offsets. I like the look; it will be interesting to see on the Genny. I like a contrasting lip color to the face. I imagine that's why he went that way as well. I've thought about it. Also thought about plastidiping the face as well, just to mix it up.

I went with BC, he went with Megan...I think there is only one more brand out there...

Very nice Work wheels. I want to do a bronze lip myself. Yeah, megans ride fine for what we want in just an everyday coilover but like it has been said many times b4, they are nearly all the same between megan, ksport, bc, etc

Thanks man I can't wait to see what my wheels will look like bronze. And to clarify I'm only getting them done the glossy bronze like the face. Wish I could do the glossy face with anodized lip but my rims are only one piece not two. Bolts around the edge of face are not functional and purely for show.

Only other coils I know of available are Garcia Factory I-One coils and SMA (if they still make them). That's a topic covered on many other threads.

Work LS105 20"X9" +22 all around with 15mm up front to clear caliper. Tires are 225/35 20 F and 245/40 20 R.

The new Vossen VFS-2 wheels are some wheels I would really consider on the genesis. Wish I can see some pictures of them on the car if someone can photoshop them on a black genesis with the different colors, maybe the new satin bronze or graphic gray or the VVSCVT.

Plz help! Noob needs help with staggered fitment on 13 5.0 r-spec!

Somebody please direct me in the right direction i cant figure out this site at all!!!

I WAS GOING TO BUY 20X8.5 AND 20X10 MRR gt1s but mrr said the pcd was not the same...they came off a G35x ...
please help me as icant navigate the site very good and if i could figure out how to post the pic i would

These are the same wheel type as posted on the first page of this thread, except a different size and color.

Brand:Ruff Racing wheels
Model: 954
20x8.5"
Offset: +38
tires are 245/35/20

These required a 5mm spacer up front to clear our big front brakes on the Genesis. I got these spacers made from https://www.motorsport-tech.com/wheel_spacers.html. They machine them to fit the hub perfectly.

Looks great. I'm regretting my tire choice of 245/40/20 on a 9 right now. +21 with 5mm spacer = +16. Tires are a bit too meaty. May have to go with a 225 or 235 35.
