Technically, the dealer should not use the term "bumper-to-bumper." Platinum coverage should cover virtually the entire car except for wearable items- brake pads, wiper blades, belts, etc. The facotry warranty and an HPP from Hyundai was previously backed by Fidelity (JM&A). Starting January 2013, Hyundai began backing its own factory warranty and now provides the HPP, so you will not find a Fidelity contract with Hyundai branding. IMO, the Fidelity product is still far superior, but I have not yet had experience with the new Hyundai backed HPP from a claim stand point. One thing to keep in mind if you do have the option, Fidelity will cover the Radar Cruise, but the new Hyundai product will not. Fidelity does come at a greater cost, but not by much. I would not purchase anything other than a Fidelity or Hyundai product. Also, Fidelity backs both Audi and BMW extended service contracts. I lease and will probably purchase my 2012 Genesis 4.6 with Tech package. Actually, I started with a 2011, but thats a long story for another thread. I also have a Lexus GX470 and a BMW M5. I restore older BMWs in my spare time and I have worked in the automotive business for over 13 years. I'm certainly a car nut and very well respected in my circles, so you may consider my advice solid. Hope I was helpful...
