Umm, thanks for the update. Guess it address the 2014 Genesis and the new Sonata. Not quite what I was hoping for but thanks anyway! Good to know such a resource is out there.

no thats the date they issued it . We are pulling the info from the site under 2015 Genesis V8
Yes, just put your VIN at that website and it will tell you if you eligible, even if you don't own this car anymore, they will reimburse you. Also you can agree with one time lump sum payment, but it's not much around 70-80$ per year.
That's right, I searched the net and our 2015 second generation in they tech language is 2014 DH, that was given the code name when it was started to build. There is also code name RK and HCD , but the HCD I guess was just a prototype model.
GREAT NEWS! Now the questions: Where did you get the felt tape and exactly (preferably with pics) where did you apply it?
I rejoice in your knockfree Happiness!! I have not driven my car in the two days since filing every cavity with the silicon due to the high winds in NYC afraid of damage . Will report back when the winds let up. Mac
I hope this is not too difficult to identify. The tape is a closed cell sponge tape (http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1287006), grey in color.
I cut some pieces and installed them at the corner of the side that tilts up and close to the passenger door (this is where I 'felt' the knock originates). I put some pieces in front and behind the rubber seal on the roof.
Glad it's working for you. In your pic the rear edge of the plastic that surrounds the moveable panel looks VERY dry! Is it really that dry or is it just a trick of the light in the photo? If it is really that dry it may be helpful to concentrate on that area with a little lube, also.
I have zero rattles or rear end noises. My build date is July 8th. Those with issues, what is your build date? Maybe they found an issue an corrected it in the production line.
I tried setting up a poll for this a while back but failed miserably, please feel free to do so. My build date is also in July and no rattles or noises from mine ether. I do believe there is a connection here and it has been corrected in later build dates.
Did you have a knock/creak or a rattle? While I've heard a creak now and then, I do suspect lubrication can help that (and I can live with the occasional creak).
Mine has a definite rattle that persisted after relubing and running roof diagnostics. The Hyundai Engineer who was visiting my dealer last week and inspected the car agreed that it is not a normal condition. They pulled the headliner this week and are trying to isolate the sound. I really think it's in the sunshade roller mechanism - it sounds like a loose piece of plastic (maybe a plastic pulley loose on it's shaft) moving around. We'll see?
Have your got your problem fixed? Can you share how?
I have same rattle just like you described in your post and I just can't figure out where it is coming from.
To me on the driver's seat, it sounds like coming from the inside of the passenger's side door.
To my wife sitting on the passenger seat, she said it's coming from the back.
Tilting or opening the sunroof only makes the noise little harder to hear but it still rattles.
It sounds like a metal flat stick rapidly flapping and hit some metal or plastic part.
I also get occasional sunroof creaks but I believe it can be eliminated by lubing and taping and so on as many people helped themselves.
I'm new to this forum and thank everyone to share the ideas and fixes and hopes.
