  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

Another thing I've noticed is that whenever I start the car, the fan speed seems to always be on high. I'm not sure if it's actually on full blast, but it's high enough that the sound of the air coming out of the vents is pretty loud. Is this just a default setting, or is the car reading the outside temp? It's fairly cold where I am (mid-40s to low 50s), so is the car anticipating that I will want the heat on and the fan speed on high? If it's a setting, I wonder if I can untick this option somewhere.

The fan is always on its highest when using defrost only. If you leave it on defrost each time you start the car it will go max, even just switching to the forward face fans at the lowest speed then switching back to defrost it will go to max fans.

Well...finally checked the back out. Yeah...leg room SUCKS. Especially toe room. They need to add 2” somehow...and increase toe room by at least an inch.

I look at it like a 2.8 seater Sports Car. Room up front for me and the wife and room enough in the back for the the grand baby and the 2 Dachshund’s

DON'T DO IT! PLEASE? It's perfect for my mother in law. Since I swapped the 2016 Genesis for the G70, the "occasional" trips with her have declined a lot.

I was hell bent on a 2-door car, but since my dad co-signed with me I had to go for a 4-door. Having a super small back seat means I never have to drive my friends around (who would probably wreck my meticulously cared for interior). It's amazing!

I think there's enough room back there if you're under 6 feet. I still wouldn't want to do a long road trip back there mind you, but any trip less than an hour IMO you'd be fine. Besides (train of thought carrying over from the subwoofer thread here) if your passengers back there start complaining, crank up the volume and you won't hear them ;)

I had 2 passengers in the back for a 4 hour road trip, both right under 6 foot tall. Had to adjust the seats forward and up slightly to allow toe room but it was comfy for all. Except me, 4 hours of driving through the desert sucksss when I’m not allowed to drive quickly :p

The issue I find with the room is if someone sit low to the ground its impossible! To get your feet under grrr so annoying the Canadian version doesnt have the passenger side mounted seat adjuster thing which really annoyed me. Every time someone sits in the back i make it clear the passenger needs to adjust accordingly

Another note, when using Android Auto, the Bluetooth services on the phone are disabled. I have had a chance to test to see what all doesn't work when AA is running, but it does affect other feature uses.

This is not true. AA MUST use bluetooth. It's the only way that phone calls can be handled by AA. Audio goes over the cable but phone calls are ALWAYS over BT.
This is what I was referring to, I saw it in my G80 manual. I also recall trying to use my phone for something, I can't recall what it was (it wasn't for media) while AA was running and it wouldn't work.

Short list but only had the car for 6 weeks or so.
1) heated front seats and steering wheel do not stay on the last setting used, they turn off with the car and stay off.
2) drive mode defaults to comfort setting, let me control what I want as default setting.
3) center console compartment should have a change tray/molded in coin holder or similar so I’m not fishing for coins while in the drive thru.
No real complaints though. Love how it drives.

I use the pocket in the padded door pull for loose change.

1. Probably for less electrical drain at startup. Six of my last 7 cars were like that
2. EPA says you have to start in the mode tested or better. No sport, etc.

Hello all! Today marks two weeks since getting my G70. My last car was a 2008 and so this clearly has a lot of upgrades, but a few things:

Big Annoyances:
1) I got the 2.0. I wish I could afford the 3.3 but wasn't in the cards. That said the turbo makes it plenty fast for me, my ego is just slightly bruised knowing that some Accord's and Camry's could outrun me if they wanted.
2) No fog lights, but I do really like the headlights and taillights.
3) No Ambient lighting!? I wish I would of checked on this before buying, I honestly thought it would have been standard to have a few modes. Based on another thread it appears it is in every market outside U.S.?... don't understand that one.

Slight Annoyances:
1) As Pulsar stated above, heated seats/steering does not stay on, kind of an annoyance.
2) The emergency lights button is huge and smack dab in the middle. I think you have to have it somewhere in that region by law, but to me its too big and at night too bright. I wish there was a way to change this.
3) Pulsar also mentioned no change holder. I know most people just use cards these days, but I would of liked one haha.
4) Trunk space is small. I haven't tried yet, but looks like I'll have to put the rear seat down to fit my golf clubs in.

Trigger you seem to have quite a few annoyances with the car.
I’m curious as to the cars you cross shopped the G70 with.
What was the deciding factor for you and why?

^ I don't think any of the above annoyances are major though, even the big annoyances. I have several items I listed in this thread too, but in general they are minor issues and mainly listed to show how close to perfect the car is.

As for the golf clubs, they will fit. It is tight though. :)

I noticed the seatbelt clips (?) make an impression on your seats if you fold them over. Kinda a bummer. I'm pretty sure they sprang back with no mark after a while, but I'd hate to have to leave them folded over for too long.

Related to this: A snowboard fits with ample room when you fold the seat

I, for one, wish there was a separate screen for climate controls by the dials. It's annoying that when you boot up the car it takes a few seconds to see what you're doing with them. When I turn on the car in the winter, I typically want full heat on hands and feet.

As a corollary to that, I wish there were an option for the remote start to just default to the climate control settings which were on when you turned off the car. As it is, it seems the only options are Off and automatic set to a given temperate. I want my goddamn hand and feet heat!

It would also be nice if they had a little display in each temp knob to always show what the temp is set to. Many of the new cars are doing this, and I like the look and think it makes sense.

Agreed. That would be a lot nicer than what we have now.
