  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

so many people step over from another brand to genesis cars

mine was BMW 535I and im happy with the genesis

in my case i love large and high length and width cars

i couldn't by BMW 7 series because some financial issue i had but with genesis im having all what i dream about

so please tell us from which brand you step over to genesis?

Previous car was a 12 Volvo C30 which I picked up in Sweden with an Overseas Delivery Program. Leased the Genny in March of 15 and can't wait to give it back. The driving experience is totally ruined by bouncy/vibrating tires (Michelin) and awful stink from AC vents every time I start the car. Also don't like the complete lack of premium service experience. They treat me like I'm driving an 86 Hyundai Excel!!!

96/97 Maxima ==> 97 Maxima/99 Cobra ==> 2004 Accord V6/2003 Altima V6 ==> 2004 Acura TL ==> 2010 Genesis ==> 2012 Genesis/2013 Fusion Hybrid/2014 GMC Acadia ==>2015 Genesis ==> ?

2006 Acura RL (Legend) with tech package. Now 2016 3.8 RWD Genny with tech package. Still in the shop but the loaner (same car, different color) is awesome.

Before the Genesis, I had:

1997. My wife got a Lantra 2000 auto.

All fantastic cars and 100% reliable

2015 Genesis Ultimate
2008 Nissan Altima 2.5S
1998 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34
1991 Honda Civic DX sedan
1986 Mazda 626

Oldest but still got it, is a 1981 Camaro Z28 my dad bought for me when i was 5 years old from a junk yard and I'm now 31 and still got it. Imported straight from PR to OH 3 years ago.

Traded in a 2002 Honda Civic SI... Gotta say this car is heads above that one all though it was a fun car to drive.

2007 Hyundai Veracruse. 2010 4.6 Genesis, 2012 5.0 R-Spec. :D

2012 Kia Optima SX turbo base... traded it with 31,550 miles on the odo...

Let the list begin....keep in mind I'm a flipper and only keep most of these for 10-12k miles and 4-6 months....first two were my cars in high school, the rest started after college in 2004:

1988 Jeep Cherokee, 1998 Pontiac Bonneville, 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2000 Mitsubishi Diamante LS, 2005 Ford F150, 2002 Cadillac STS, 2002 BMW 325ci, 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd, 2002 BMW 325 Ci Conv, 2006 Hyundai Sonata SE V6, 20005 Hyundai Tucson, 2006 BMW 325i, 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2008 Cadillac STS, 2006 Nissan Maxima SL, 2005 Mercedes CLK 320 Conv, 2006 BMW 325i, 2006 Jaguar XJ-R, 2009 Ford Escape Limited, 2008 Chev Tahoe, 2010 Cadillac CTS, 2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE, 2009 Cadillac STS, 2008 BMW 528xi, 2007 Mercedes E350 4-Matic, 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd, 2012 Nissan Maxima SL, 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2010 Chev Camaro 2SS, 2009 Jaguar XF, 2013 Ford Escape, 2008 BMW 328i Coupe, 2012 Hyundai Genesis, 2015 Ford F150, 2012 Mercedes E350, 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, 2008 Corvette C6 Conv, 2013 Lexus GS350, 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe LWB Limited, 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sig

These are in chronological order and reflect the 5-6 I've flipped for my wife along the way as well.

Had a loaded 2011 Sonata 2.0T (still love that car) but Genesis is just so many levels better.

1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager (company car)
1999 Chrysler 300 M
2000 Audi TT Roadster quattro (2nd car, toy only - not a daily driver)
2001 Audi A8L 4.2 quattro
2005 Audi A6 3.2 quattro
2007 VW Passat 2.0L Turbo
2010 VW Passat 2.0L Turbo
2013 Chrysler 300C 3.6L RWD
2015 Genesis 3.8L RWD

1974 AMC Gremlin
1981 Chevy Citation
1984 Olds Cutlas Cierra LS
1988 Ford Taurus LX
1993 Olds 88 LS
1997 Ford Explorer
2003 Mercury Marauder
2009 Lincoln MKS

I can find something good to say about almost all of them, but my favorites were the Explorer and the Marauder. The Marauder had two problems 1. The engine would stall out in damp weather and 2. You couldn't go forward in snow. Otherwise the most fun vehicle out of the bunch. The Olds 88 was the most disappointing. Fun to drive and people raved about the ride, but after three years the car fell apart. It needed big repairs every six months after the third year. It's no wonder GM went bankrupt. But I am happy with my Genesis. Starting to get close to the two year mark already.

1988 Olds Cutlass
1997 Dodge Avenger
1999 GMC Sierra Z71
2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS
2003 GMC Yukon Denali
2008 BMW 535i
2014 Genesis 5.0 R-Spec

I do miss the steering of the BMW from time to time, and twin turbo had some serious rip to it. I drive the lovely traffic in Chicago quite a bit, nothing like ripping through an on-ramp to the highway going about 60 and then punching it entering the highway. Don't get me wrong, Genny does just fine, get a little wobble in the steering trying to push it though. And I do love the "what kind of car is that?" Buddy of mine thought it was a Bentley. Priceless

I had a 2005 Lincoln LS V8. The Genesis is much better in every respect, except for handling where the LS shined. The THX sound system was also excellent as well.
