That would be the worst investment ever. These cars will be discounted shortly once stock increases, and it will. The charging of markups like that for a car which is not some sort rare of limited edition or one of a kind model is ridiculous. That is a dealer who will have a very unhappy customer weeks later.
I completely agree with your comments regarding the $2000 mark-up by that specific dealer. The V8 Ultimate at $55,885 MSRP is already $7,865 higher than the 2013 Rspec. All I really want is the new seat, and ability to change from normal to sport mode. I paid $40,000 new for the 2013 Rspec. So If I bought the 2015 V8 for $55,885 minus about $3,500 mark-up, that would be $52,400, or $12,400 more than my 2013 Rspec for a new seat.
My other option is to go with the 2014 535i BMW (with optional 20 way seats) which has the best seats out there IMHO based on the busted up spine I have. 2014 BMW would be $62,250 - $7,000 incentives/markup etc = $55,250, and I can get it now instead of waiting for the 2015 Genesis to come down with factory cash incentives, etc. Big decision here.
The BMW will still be a good car to sell later and get the 2015 Genesis once it is down in price to about $49,000 next year. I prefer the V8 Genesis, but I need to sell my 2013 Rspec to get a car with a good sport seat in order to drive the car. The 2013 Rspec IMHO is a truely great car, built really well, and fun to drive except for the specific seat needs I have due to spinal problems. I'm not going to live forever, so I need to get a good seat now not after another year.
I hate to sell a great car with 7500 miles on it, but I have to due to my spine. I honestly really love my 2013 Rspec, but trying to drive on a trip is way rough when it doesnt have to be. Ummmm! I need to go ahead and list my Rspec now vs waiting. As my son has said, 'The 2013 Rspec will be a great deal for someone' ). Regards, and thanks to the posters regarding information on the new 2015 V8 Genesis.
