Just make sure you get the update for the correct Navigation system based on what trim level you have (Ultimate vs non-Ultimate).

I have a 15' tech package, I don't like that knob isn't there or a rear sunshade. I guess they had to save some features for the v8. in Canada there is close to a 10 g's difference in the price for full load v6 with standard awd and the v8 awd with every option

I just bought a 2016 Ultimate and just to be clear I love this car and the couple dislikes I have in no way depicts how I actually feel about the car...just decided I would like to voice my couple dislikes on the car though:

1. armrest leather on the door sucks...i dont even think its leather...cant believe hyundai would cheap out on a couple dollars worth of high quality leather in that small area.

2. lane keep assist for some reason doesnt work as well as I was hoping...sometimes works awesome in keeping me in the lane while some times it drifts over the line then pulls me back in...and no its not on a sharp turn...happens even in straight lines but i was even thinking it could be from the reflection off my hood?

3. the hood is extremely flimsy and I can see it actually vibrate over bumps lol...i hope this doesnt stir things up now that I mentioned it and possibly people didnt notice this before.

4. infamous rear view camera resolution...even though this doesnt bother me that much i do wish they just put in a higher resolution camera...dont think it would have costed hyundai but a couple dollars again. i mean you can buy an hd webcam for $20 on amazon lol.

im sure ill notice more things as I drive it more...but again i do absolutely love this car though...very well made car and glad i stumbled upon this car. I was looking at more expensive cars, but really didnt want to spend the kind of money right now and bam this car shows up and drove extremely well.

My new dislike. When using apple car play for calls the other side gets an echo. When BT only no issues with calls.

You are correct, very flimsy hood. I noticed mine the day I drove it home from the dealer on the highway at 70mph and hitting only minor bumps. The hood is so big and lightweight. I tried adjusting the bump stops to add more down pressure, still noticeable and aggravating.

I think it has something to do with the pedestrian collision thing for the hood...but nonetheless it's quite annoying to see it flapping around driving on the highway

Never noticed the hood flex until the 80mph vibration (supposedly due to bent wheel - or tires showed up ((tbd)). I am wondering what color those of you who see it have - on my Parisian Gray it is/was not at all noticeable (with the exception of the above caveat).

It's likely there if you look at the hood near the base of the windshield (but, honestly, only really noticeable if you look for it - so not a real problem, imho). I could/can see it on my 2015 and 2016 (both Empire State Gray).

today i get problem with my genesis 2015 3.8 car audio!
i dont have any sound on my car now!
i check fuse , i reset sound system but no issue! system parking also no sound!
radio no sound!
before when i up volume to high ( MAX ) system sound crash ! but now when i turn on system i dont have any sound, any one can help to me?

Did you pushed down the volume button? That will turn on/off the unit. If this doesn't work I think a trip to the dealer is the way to go.

I'd like the drive mode to stay from the last option selected rather than returning to the default "Normal each time you shut off the engine.
I'd like the voice navigation to work better so that it is capable of entering addresses correctly.

He means the volume button on the dash. it is also a push on/push off switch. make sure it is "on"

2- When listening to something on my phone via bluetooth, then I get out of the car and get back in, the infotainment system switches it to FM radio.

I came here to find this. My wife's RAV4 will continue playing the last song too. But not on my Genesis.

Example: I am streaming Amazon Music via Bluetooth (which is also strange that it's not a "source" option on the radio but rather I have to pick it via phone (or is it media?).

Anyway, I am streaming Amazon Music via Bluetooth and I get out of the car. It should pause the song and when I return and the Bluetooth link is re-established, it should continue. Both my wife and my parent's Toyota's do this with my phone. In my Genesis it reverts back to FM.

Also, I have it set to play my phone's ringtone. Yet every-time my phone rings I hear some awful music generated by the car. Why?

Finally, and this is very minor but still something I noticed. No images download for bluetooth audio or contacts. On other cars the contact image will download and show on the screen while in a call. There's a TON of screen real estate while in a call, but it's filled up with a 100pt green font of the person's name. I'd prefer it to be a picture.
