If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Post your custom wheels

Ambush, thanks brother! Yeah as each day goes by, I'm more and more in love with the way that the car looks with the new shoes. They definitely set it off and give it the look that I've been craving. I was really on the fence with black wheels on a white car but after seeing a few similar set-ups, I decided to pull the trigger. I can say that I'm not dissapointed in the slightest.
I installed an EZ lip the other day and it really just adds to the look of the car. Funny that a $35 strip of foam rubber can add so much to a car! LOL!

My next little side project is to get the Genesis wings on the center caps.
I've been thinking about blacking out the grill and 'maybe' doing a black wrap on the roof, but that is TBD.
In the mean time, I snapped a few more pics of the car yesterday between rain storms.

I'm really on the fence in regards to lowering it. I'm really happy with the way that it sits rights now, and while I know that I'll get some negative camber when the rear end comes down, the rear tires really look like they might rub. Maybe it's just an illusion from the way that the Continentals are on the wheels.

What I plan on doing before I do buy any suspension gear is to remove the rear springs, install the wheels and lower the car on the jacks, just so I can verify that it will indeed clear.

Great look!! ..... Any pics of the EZ lip and where to buy them?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Thanks! I haven't had the opportunity to get any pics of the lip installed due to the weather, but I got mine off of Amazon for like $30.

I created a separate post, but had to post here too now that I finally got my wheels! Work Zeast ST-1, 20x9 and 20x10.5.

THOSE ARE NICE as it fits the car!!! I love the look. WOW!!!! Make me want to get a new GEN Genny!!

I’m on the fence about my setup. The wheels are 20x9 and 20x10.5 but it looks like the car just swallows them up 🤷🏾‍♂️ Gonna give it a good wash and sleep on it. Perhap I’ll grow to love it.

@Vet, those wheels look really good on your car! Whats the info on them? (tire size, offset, wheel/tire brand, etc.) I can see what you mean about the car looking like it swallows them up, but I also feel like certain car colors offset certain wheels. Either way, looks awesome! Good luck with those roads up there, I spent a long ass time in the Hampton Roads area and the roads up there took their toll..

The wheels are Blaque Diamond BD23 silver finish with chrome lip. Unsure of the offset, I will have to contact the store to find that out if you're still interested. They did have to drill a new set specifically for my car, turning a 1 week delivery time into 3 from cali to va. They do sit flush with no spacers so no complaint there. I went cheap on the tires since I spent a majority of the budget on the wheels. The tire brand is Achilles and the model is ATR Sport 2. Sizes are 245/35 front and 275/30 rear. They perform well enough but my complaints are the road noise and what I'm assuming will be the short tread life. At $68 per tire on amazon, I knew I wouldn't be getting it all, more likely the least safely possible :rolf:, but will definitely be looking to improve on those two drawbacks with my next set. If anyone has input on a quiet tire, with grip and relatively good tread life please share. Overall, I paid 2,250 at a local shop including taxes, swapping tpms sensors, mounting and balancing.

Yes, HR roads can be bad on your wheels. Fortunately, I can take the interstate to most places and the area that I live in has decent roads. I just try to avoid Norfolk and Portsmouth when possible or take my wife's CR-V.

I would really take a look at Continentals. They are a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Down here in Florida, I'm able to get away with a max performance summer tire like the Continental Extreme Sport Contact. If I were you, I'd maybe look at the Continental Extreme Contact DWS or one of the variants simply due to the weather fluctuations up there in the mid-lant. Like I stated, they're not cheap, but you cant't put a price on comfort and safety. Look to spend north of $230 per tire for the Continentals and usually around $130~140ish for the fronts in any of the other 'decent' brands of tire like Falken or Kumho.
I love my Continentals. They're super grippy, they have very good treadlife and they are extremely quiet. Previously, I was running BFG Sport Compact 2's and while they are amazing tires, they're loud; something that I don't want on a 'luxury-ish' car.

Either way, your car looks great!

Thanks for the recommendation. The Continentals seem to be a favorite on here so I'll definitely be putting on a set next spring.

The wheels are called Marguee wheels 3259 Black Red Extreme Concave Rims 5×114 Front 20x9.5 rears 20x10.5 rears in this picture it's on Michelin pilot sports fronts 255/35/20 on the rear 285/35/20 they only rub during extreme cornering on the off ramp loops now it's riding on Michelin pilot 4s 305/30/20 rear tires stick out rub on uneven payment at 80 mph or faster haven't had a issue at low speed ,haven't cornered extremely and haven't put the wife and daughter in the vehicle yet. I didn't give the offset because, i will be running Brembo calipers front and rear, the wheels rub on the stock calipers had to use a spacer.

At first glance of the wheel alone, I wasn't really too crazy about the look of that particular wheel, but seeing them installed completely changes the perspective. Those really set the car off and give it a really aggressive look. Very nice selection! The red is a really nice touch and adds a lot of depth to the wheel.
So to clarify, you're running 305's on the rear right now? That's a lot of tire my friend! I'd almost say go back to the 285's if you're rubbing or they're sticking out excessively.
Do you have any current pictures with the 305's? I think that with the right offset, 285's on a 10.5" rear wheel look amazing on these cars. I really battled with going to 10.5's/285 on mine, but in the end decided on the conservative route with 10" wheels and 275's.

Looks great!

Nice! I would just vinyl wrap the chrome window/bumper/lower door trim on the car black ,and maybe wrap the front grill/door handle/trunk lid trim the same metallic red wheel color to really make it pop. Just me.

The car looks good as is with those wheels.

The stickers take away from the car. It will look so good bringing attention to the car as a whole. Stickers are for the "boi" racer kids with civic EX thinking they'll post all the parts the have in the car that still has them slower than the average bear (if i were yogi bear lol). Great looking car. You should add rear lip spoiler.

Yeah I agree, ditch the stickers ASAP. Makes car look trashy IMO. The wheels are, interesting for sure. :)

Ok the stickers are a church thing love God, lol see your point. The 305 can be a nuance at times on Dallas Texas streets, but at $450.00 a pop they are staying for now. I race a mustang 5.0 Saturday night and braking at 120 mph over rough pavement and no suspension upgrades I felt the 305 saved my bacon IMOP and anything over 120 they were planted, well planted at any speed, you get my point. I don't have any pics yet doing the upgraded calipers then I will post pictures, sides, and the rear of the car. Blacking out the grill first ,to see if I like it before deleting all the chrome. Thank you for all the comments and opinions God bless you all.
