There's a lot of misconception and misinformation on our most valuable domestic brand, owning both Hyundai and Tesla I'm happy to clarify and discuss those. They have the most advanced technology right now out of any mass production automotive brand that I've seen. Their goal is not to provide a superluxury cruiser experience, which I certainly miss certain aspects of (One of my friends literally redid the entire upholstery in his X to rectify this), but to accelerate the movement away from traditional oil into a more renewable world. The safety and the technology is enough of a trade of for me personally. Everyone is different in that aspect of what they are willing to trade for what they want in an automobile, I can respect your taste.
For the S, I've got a 240v feed which provides a little over 19 kW of charging power. I get about 30-35 miles an hour at home, more than enough for what I do. One of my friends has a 3 and she gets around 45 miles per hour on my charger.
No one is perfect, I certainly appreciate Musk's approach on the industry however. No traditional dealerships, no negotiations, feels like Amazon prime ordering the cars! Of course, you've got to wait sometimes months because of the demand (or years on the preorders!)
Makes you wonder if the Cybertruck glass breaking was a long game to get more attention. It was hilarious either way though
