CK no hyperblinking for me. Both sides were reverse polarity. i am very happy
Based on that photo alone, Sirius seems to be the original to ebay's knockoff. Just look at the cooling fins depth, or at the skewed contact plate on the ebay one. Sirius is clearly worth the extra few bucks. Come on people, we're driving a luxury vehicle here!sirius ck left / ebay right

Just to verify, those buying the SiriusLED bulbs, most of you are purchasing the 1157 bulbs and using the stock bulb harness correct? Meaning that one of the Bulb's metal connectors is not being used right?
Asking before buying.

How many set of LED DRL bulbs have you used in the last year?no kidding...just get the sirius![]()
How many set of LED DRL bulbs have you used in the last year?
I only purchased one set of amber 2357 bulbs and they have been working fine for nearly a year, no burn out. What is the point of using LED bulbs for DRL if they are either too expensive,hyper-flash, nor last as long as the incandescent bulbs due to heat like the cheaper LED bulbs compared to high quality amber 2357 incandescent bulbs?
We are only talking about amber DRL lights. The amber LED and incandescent bulbs look similar so what is the point of trying to use LED bulbs which requires more effort to install, especially if they seem to fail sooner than incandescent bulbs due to heat destroying the circuit boards?
I actually like LED bulbs, especially switch-back LED bulbs that changes color from white for DRL to amber for signaling. However, I would have to use load resistors in my Genesis for those to work, and the resistors will fail in less than a year when used as DRL. I use LED switch-back bulbs in my Caddy, but the hyper-flashing issue is solved by a LED flasher module in the Escalade so no load resistors needed.I agree on avoiding it for DRL IMO. My only intention is for turn signals. The on/off appearance of the LEDs are their main selling points to me.
Yeah makes sense to me. I wanted to go switchback route as well for DRL. But I feel theres not much space to safely install resistors (safely according to my paranoia haha).I actually like LED bulbs, especially switch-back LED bulbs that changes color from white for DRL to amber for signaling. However, for just amber colored DRL; LED bulbs seem to be too much trouble to deal with in my opinion since they look nearly the same as incandescence amber 2357 bulbs. The only amber LED set that really look brighter than the 2357 bulbs was the $100 set one member used, the rest look nearly the same as 2357 bulbs in the pictures.

If you are happy with the LED performance than I guess the swap is worth it to you, so enough said.started with the cheap pilot from op and that lasted whole 4 months before the leds started falling off and hyperflashing. prob would have lasted longer not being used as drl but i would still consider it junk. now running with the $20/pr sirius and been very happy with light output. can light up road signs at night from pretty far nowthey are plug and play so no different than an incandescent bulb as far as replacing them. i also prefer the led flashing effect compared to the incandescent. as far as longevity that is the only question with these but they do come with 1yr warranty even when used as a drl as found by another member so not too worried in that respect.

I just did this. I wanted to give anyone instructions with a V8 on how to go about changing out their amber DRLs to LEDs.

Test your new socket on the vehicle before putting it all back together.
...
The car does not hyperflash and so far I am pleased.
Thank you for putting this together. I just ordered the same bulbs from Amazon, so I'll be changing mine out later this week.
Between your guide and the video below, hopefully I won't have any issues.

Could you (or anyone else) go into detail about how you test the lights after installation? Can I turn the car on to ACC mode while everything is disassembled and test the bulbs? I don't want to reassemble everything and then realize my fix didn't work.
The bulb can not be turned around due to the tabs on either side of the bulb are at different heights, the bulb only goes in one way. The actual connector with the socket has to be re-pinned. You basically take the negative and positive wires and swap them.Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you reverse the polarity? Just turn the bulb around so the contacts are reversed?
no hyper flash at all so far...get rid of those junk asap before the leds start falling off. you will be surprised how much brighter these are at night.Do the Sirius led hyperflash? I already have pilot leds installed but they started to hyperflash.
