  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV70 Daily Picture Thread

Bam! Just picked this baby up yesterday. Traded in my tesla for it. LOVE IT
I'm currently the owner of a Model Y and I'm STRONGLY considering making the switch.

1. Which model did you have and why'd you make the switch?
2. Top 3 things you like better about the GV70?

Only 6 weeks in and loving my sport prestige! I love switching from comfort mode to sport+ mode and back. Such versatility. It definitely stands out on the road. It's my first Genesis and likely not my last.

I will have finalized pictures by tomorrow once all the paint protection and cleaning has been completed. But here is my entry thus far after taking delivery, cleaning it up for the first time and starting the paint polishing and protection.

Where did you get the brake pedal cover I can’t find one here in florida

If you are referring to the white sticker on the pedals, those are the factory installed protective cover that would have been removed by your dealer. I had asked my dealer to not remove any of the protective stickers prior to me taking delivery. If you are referencing something else please let me know and I'll help any way I can.

Something about that red ♥️

My GV70 was delivered yesterday afternoon - replacing a Siberian Ice 2019 G70 3.3T Sport. Grabbed a few quick pictures today before the weather turned to sh!t.

Nice...I've had a 2023 Siberian Ice G70 3.3T loaner vehicle for the last couple of weeks while my vehicle is waiting on parts. They finally swapped me for another GV70 - I was again struck by how roomy and luxurious the GV70 is in comparison! I was surprised by how much smaller and tighter everything was in the G70 - obviously, it's a smaller car but it's much smaller than my old Kia Optima as well.

I compared the stats for all the vehicles I was considering against the G70 and agree the GV70 feels larger. That said you'd be surprised how close in size the two are. The GV70 wheelbase is 1.6" longer and the LOA is 1.2" longer. Other than height the they are within 1 or two inches of each other. All in the packaging I guess. Now when I take my summer wheels to get swapped over I don't have a wheel riding shotgun with me.

Ontario needs to rid themselves of front license plates.
Not happening in the foreseeable future unfortunately. Our Premier loves the police and the police want front plates so there you go.

Finally got around to swapping off my OEM 19" wheel w/ studded winters to the warm-ish weather setup. I freaking LOVE this setup. I feel like a subtle 1" drop would be absolutely perfect.

Before anyone asks, I forgot the centercaps at home, but they are on now. Will snap some more pics later if you guys want em.

20x10 TSW Luco's

76.1 Bore
5mm Spacers all around, were required to clear the front calipers.

I feel like the machined bronze colour matches perfectly with the black chrome pieces on the car. Took me forever to pull the trigger on this due to no one having sizing / offset info. Luckily I was working with an amazing local shop willing to do all the test fitting.

Any idea how common it is to actually get pulled over for not having your front plate installed?

I live in southwestern Ontario and it’s suprisingly common to see people driving without their front plate, I’ve told my dealer not to install it when my GV70 gets delivered in the next couple of weeks and I’m hoping I don’t have to pay the ticket more than once a year or so. I don’t mind $110/year given how awful the placement is on the GV70 🤮

How’s the drivability with these and acceleration lag since I assume these are heavier then stock

Honestly... Didnt notice at all. Difference is pretty minimal i think.

I dont remember where i read it but i think the oem 19's are like 31 lbs each.

These wheels are 29 i think. Add on the wider tire and its maaaaaaaybe 20 lbs more?

Hope that helps!

That does help for sure I’ve been in between on getting rims or just powder coating my stock 19s black . Do you have the v4 or v6 model

Also does it throw off your speedometer by much

Generally you dont want the diameter to change more than i think 1.5% from stock. My oem was 19" with 235/55/19 tires. My setup is:

20" wheels
255/45/20 tires.

Lots of calculators online to help compare size. I like 1010tires' version. ItsIt's Like a 0.5% change in overall size so it will hardly have an impact on the speedo.

We have the smaller engine. 2.5 i4
